The event began with a vibrant community parade, highlighted by the rhythmic beating of gongs that symbolized unity, cooperation, and the enduring spirit of bayanihan. The activity brought together stakeholders from Pinsao Elementary School, Pinsao National High School, the BLGU, parents, learners and community organizations. In her opening message, Dr. Jane Marie Ngolab, School Head of Pinsao NHS, emphasized that through cooperation and a unified vision, the community can build a strong foundation where knowledge thrives, echoing Helen Keller’s words: “Together we can do so much; together we can do better.

Following the opening message, School PDO Sherylyn Mayao formally presented the partners, stakeholders, and guests, highlighting the strong collaboration among the BLGU, SPTA officers and members of both elementary and high school, as well as organizations such as the Twin Creeks Women’s Organization and the Pinsao Pilot Project Women’s Organization. Sir Junar M. Diguel, School Head of Pinsao Elementary School, then delivered the overview and statement of purpose of Brigada Eskwela, emphasizing that it takes a village to educate a child and calling on everyone to unite and collaborate in creating a conducive learning environment for all learners.

Messages of support were delivered by Barangay Captain Dexter Fag-ayan, who underscored Brigada Eskwela as a meaningful annual expression of bayanihan that teaches the younger generation the value of cooperation; Marilyn Anengyao, SPTA President of Pinsao Elementary School, who reminded everyone that maintaining the school is a shared responsibility, not just the teachers’; and Lucena Timpac, SPTA President of Pinsao NHS, who described the initiative as an opportunity to come together and share skills and talents for the benefit of the school community. This was followed by an announcement and information dissemination on important school matters led by Dr. Ngolab, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and prepared for the upcoming school year.

The program concluded with the Signing of Commitment, symbolizing the collective dedication of all participants to work hand in hand in upholding the spirit of bayanihan. After the kick-off program, the actual Brigada Eskwela activities officially commenced alongside the start of school enrollment, marking the beginning of a collaborative effort to ready the schools for the incoming academic year. Through unity and cooperation, a better and more conducive learning environment can truly be achieved for every learner.
