OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE ADJUSTMENT OF THE BADOC TOWN FIESTA - LA VIRGEN MILAGROSA BADO-BADOC FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

This is to formally announce that the schedule of the upcoming Badoc Town Fiesta - La Virgen Milagrosa Bado-badoc Festival has been adjusted from its original date of April 19, 2026 to April 26-27, 2026.

The decision to reschedule is driven by two key considerations:

First, in consideration of the prevailing economic and social challenges currently being experienced nationwide. The country is facing a confluence of issues including rising costs of basic commodities, energy concerns and strains in the labor market, which have affected the resources, logistics, and capacity of many individuals and groups. By moving the dates, we aim to ease the burden on our people and give everyone sufficient time to manage their resources and commitments effectively, ensuring that no one is unduly strained in preparing for this important occasion. With that in mind, the local government unit will see to it that the fiesta will be celebrated in the simplest and most economical way but not losing our cultural legacy. The welfare of the greater number of our townmates is always our primordial prioritiy.

Second, to provide ample time for all sectors and stakeholders involved to thoroughly prepare for the celebration. This additional period will allow the local government unit to carefully plan, organize and execute the various activities, programs and preparations needed to ensure that the festival is conducted in a meaningful, orderly and festive manner.

We believe that with sufficient preparation time, we can deliver a celebration that truly honors our beloved patroness, La Virgen Milagrosa, showcases the rich culture and heritage of Badoc and provides a memorable experience for everyone.

We apologize for any inconvenience this adjustment may cause and seek your kind understanding and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you all to a joyous and successful celebration this coming April 25-26, 2026.
