Under the leadership of JSUPT BRIAN M. SISON, the Bacoor City Jail Male Dormitory successfully conducted the Day 2 session of the Tech4ED Learning Program entitled โ€œCreate Digital Content, Communicate and Collaborate Onlineโ€ through the CISCO Networking Academy online platform.

Six (6) Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) actively participated in the learning session, further enhancing their digital literacy, online communication, and collaboration skills. Upon completion of the course, all participants were awarded certificates, recognizing their commitment to learning and self-improvement.

This initiative reflects the BJMP's continuing commitment to providing transformative educational opportunities that empower PDLs with relevant knowledge and skills for personal growth and future reintegration into society.

The City Government of Bacoor welcomed officials from DSWD Region IV-A during a courtesy visit held on June 2, 2026, at the Office of the Mayor to discuss the implementation of the Tara Basa! Program in the city.

Present during the meeting were Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Mr. Gรฉrardo Reyes, CSWD Focal Person for the Tara Basa! Program, Ms. Nathalie Gwyn Gutierrez, Project Development Officer III of DSWD Region IV-A, and Ms. Jessa Gerona, Project Development Officer of DSWD Region IV-A.

The discussion centered on the Tara Basa! Program, a literacy and educational assistance initiative designed to benefit multiple sectors of the community. Through the program, college students from low-income families will serve as tutors and receive cash-for-work incentives, while Grades 1 to 3 learners who need reading support will benefit from free literacy sessions in Filipino and English. Parents and guardians will also participate in learning sessions and receive incentives that encourage active involvement in their children's education.

As part of the partnership, the City Government of Bacoor, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), will provide venues, coordinate with schools, and help facilitate the program's implementation across all 31 public elementary schools in the city.

This initiative reflects Bacoorโ€™s continued commitment to strengthening literacy, expanding educational opportunities, supporting deserving students, and empowering families through collaborative programs with national government agencies. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“–
