Safe Spaces Act Orientation and Faculty General Assembly

December 15, 2025 — Faculty and staff of Progressive Senior High School gathered for an Orientation on the Safe Spaces Act in line with the observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC). The orientation was facilitated by Mr. Harold Jed C. Hernandez, Guidance Teacher, who served as the resource speaker. Key topics discussed included Republic Act No. 11313 (Bawal Bastos Law), Gender-Based Sexual Harassment in Workplaces and Training Institutions, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).

This was followed by the Faculty General Assembly. Important academic and administrative concerns were discussed and clarified by Dr. Mary Ann P. Rodrigo, Principal II, together with the Master Teachers, Dr. Maria Susette G. Palao, Master Teacher II, and Mr. Lemuel D. Arbolado, Master Teacher I. These included TVL Immersion requirements, immersion schedule, deployment, and visitation, classroom observation schedule, periodical examination dates, and submission of Daily Lesson Logs.

The meeting concluded with Mrs. Rose Ann A. Aripio, Faculty President, who discussed plans for the year-end party of teachers and students.

Overall, the activity provided a meaningful opportunity for open dialogue, clarification of concerns, and collaborative planning, helping the school prepare for the coming year.

Progressive SHS Strengthens Learning Resource Management Through SDO Monitoring

December 2, 2025 – A monitoring activity on the utilization of textbooks, supplementary materials, and transition learning resources was conducted by Ma’am Jennifer U. Cruz, SDO Librarian, at Progressive Senior High School. She was assisted by Dr. Mary Ann P. Rodrigo, Principal II; Dr. Maria Susette G. Palao, LR Coordinator/Master Teacher II; and Mr. Ronaldo A. Bermudez, ADAS II.

This monitoring aimed to assess the extent of use of textbooks, supplementary materials, and transition learning resources; identify best practices in managing, maintaining, and integrating these materials into instruction; and determine challenges that require technical assistance to further improve their utilization and overall management.

The school extends its gratitude to Ma’am Jennifer U. Cruz for the technical assistance and valuable insights provided during the monitoring, which will greatly support Progressive Senior High School in enhancing the management and effective use of its learning resources.
