The Bureau of Fire Protection Negros Occidental successfully conducted the Turn-Over of Command Ceremony for the Valladolid Fire Station, highlighted by the Relinquishment and Assumption of Office and the formal transition of leadership, led by FSUPT RODEL T LEGASPI, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal.

During the ceremony, SFO4 Restito C Salon, Outgoing Municipal Fire Marshal, formally relinquished his duties and responsibilities to SFO4 Arnel P Nonato, Incoming Municipal Fire Marshal.

The ceremony signifies the Bureau’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and orderly transition of leadership, while maintaining continuity in the delivery of efficient, responsive, and dedicated fire protection services to the people of Valladolid.

BFP Negros Occidental remains steadfast in upholding integrity, accountability, professionalism, and excellence in public service, as it continues to strengthen its commitment to protecting lives and properties.

🌱🌊 𝗕𝗙𝗣 𝗡𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗦 𝗢𝗖𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗦 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗖𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗡-𝗨

In line with its commitment to environmental protection, community service, and disaster risk reduction, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Negros Occidental, led by FSUPT RODEL T LEGASPI, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, spearheaded a Mangrove Planting and Coastal Clean-Up Drive held in Sipalay City, Negros Occidental.
The activity was participated in by personnel from the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal (OPFM), Sipalay City Fire Station, Cauayan Fire Station, Candoni Fire Station, and Hinobaan Fire Station, who came together to contribute to the preservation and protection of the coastal environment. Their collective efforts demonstrated the BFP's continuing commitment to going beyond its mandate of fire prevention and emergency response by actively supporting initiatives that promote environmental sustainability and community resilience.

Joining the BFP in this meaningful endeavor were personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard – Coast Guard Sub-Station Southern Negros Occidental (CGS SNOC), BJMP Sipalay, and Sipalay City Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO), along with representatives from the Sipalay City Component City Police Station, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), 605th Community Defense Center, 6th Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG), ARESCOM, Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO), and Barangay 5.
Through the planting of mangroves and the conduct of a coastal clean-up, the participating agencies and offices joined forces in protecting the coastal ecosystem, promoting environmental awareness, and strengthening community involvement in safeguarding natural resources.

The activity also served as a reminder that protecting our environment is a shared responsibility that requires cooperation and collective action from government agencies, communities, and other stakeholders.

Isinagawa ang Flag Raising Ceremony sa Office of the Regional Director, BFP Negros Island Region (BFP-NIR), kung saan nagsilbing Troop Information and Education Speaker si FSUPT RODEL T LEGASPI, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal ng BFP Negros Occidental.

Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-diin ni FSUPT LEGASPI ang kahalagahan ng wastong pag-uugali at pagkilos bilang isang lingkod-bayan. Paalala niya na ang bawat kilos, salita, at desisyon ng isang kawani ng pamahalaan ay sumasalamin hindi lamang sa kanyang sarili, kundi maging sa institusyong kanyang kinakatawan.

Tinalakay rin niya ang kahalagahan ng mga pagpapahalaga at pagkakakilanlang Pilipino, partikular ang Dangal, na dapat maging gabay sa pagtupad ng tungkulin. Binigyang-diin din ang patuloy na pagsasabuhay ng Bisyon, Misyon, at Core Values ng BFP sa bawat araw ng paglilingkod sa sambayanang Pilipino.

Sa huli, pinaalalahanan ang lahat na ang tagumpay ay nakakamit sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan:

“Ang pagsasama-sama ang simula, ang pananatiling nagkakaisa ang pag-unlad, at ang sama-samang pagkilos ang tagumpay.”

Patuloy nating isabuhay ang Dangal, Malasakit, Integridad, at Pagkakaisa sa bawat tungkuling ating ginagampanan. Sapagkat sa sama-samang paglilingkod, mas matatag nating maisusulong ang isang ligtas at maunlad na komunidad. 🇵🇭🔥

BFP, CIDG arrests Fire Officer over 500k Recruitment Scam

The Bureau of Fire Protection, in a joint operation with the Philippine National Police (PNP) through its Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), apprehended a BFP personnel allegedly involved in the P500K “Slot-for-Sale” Recruitment Scam.

The entrapment operation stemmed when the victim reported the suspect contacted via Facebook Messenger using a dummy account. Acting quickly, BFP Region 3, led by Acting Regional Director FSSUPT Bernard T Rosete, in coordination with PNP-CIDG Regional Field Unit 3 set up the operation through a series of meetings between the victim and the suspect.

During the initial meeting, the suspect showed a BFP ID, and claimed to have sold slots in other regions before demanding the P500,000 fee. The applicant agreed on a partial initial payment of P300,000 setting the entrapment operation.

During the succeeding meeting, the CIDG and BFP operatives caught the suspect on site during the exchange of the marked money.

BFP Officer-in-Charge FCSUPT Wilberto Rico Neil A Kwan Tiu said in a statement that the BFP remains committed to a strict and fair hiring process. “We do not tolerate corruption within our ranks. Continuously working with the PNP, we will ensure anyone who exploits our aspiring applicants will face the law.” FCSUPT Kwan Tiu said. “We will hold our personnel accountable for their actions.” He added.

The BFP, through the “OPLAN SANTINDIG,” conducts an anti-extortion campaign on recruitment, promotions and transfers to ensure integrity within its ranks. Applicants are reminded that payment is not required to gain entry in the BFP, and application is strictly based on merit and fitness.

​Ginpatigayon ang opisyal nga paglunsar tinalikdan nga Agusto 20 sa Main Atrium sang SM City Bacolod.

Suno sa BFP, ​ang ginlunsar nga inisyatibo ang 'inspire' sa Oplan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP) sang BFP nga isa ka programa nga nagapabaskog sang partnership sa mga lokal nga komunidad samtang naga-promote sang fire safety disaster preparedness kag ang pagpanghanda ukon kahandaan sa kalamidad

Nakiisa ang mga tauhan ng Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Negros Occidental, sa pangunguna ni FSUPT RODEL T LEGASPI, DSC, Acting Provincial Fire Marshal, sa Tradisyonal na Seremonya ng Pagtataas ng Watawat na ginanap sa Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal.

Ang seremonya ay nagsilbing paalala sa kahalagahan ng pagmamahal sa bayan, disiplina, pagkakaisa, at tapat na paglilingkod sa publiko. Sa pagsisimula ng panibagong linggo, patuloy na pinagtitibay ng BFP Negros Occidental ang dedikasyon nitong gampanan ang tungkulin na protektahan ang buhay at ari-arian at maghatid ng maagap at mahusay na serbisyo sa mga mamamayan ng Negros Occidental.
