🐶 Rabies Education Training | June 24, 2026
The Schools Division Office of Bacolod City, in partnership with Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) Rabies Alliance, Boehringer Ingelheim, and the STOP Rabies Initiative, successfully conducted the Rabies Education Training at the Rizal Heritage Building, Rizal Elementary School.
The activity gathered Division Office Medical Personnel, Public Schools District Supervisors, and Education Program Supervisors in Science and Learning Resources Management to strengthen school-based rabies education and prevention. Participants gained valuable insights from experts from the Bacolod City Health Office, Bacolod City Veterinary Office, GARC Rabies Alliance, and Boehringer Ingelheim.
🎥 A key highlight of the training was the unveiling of the Rabies Awareness Video, developed through the collaboration of GARC Rabies Alliance, Boehringer Ingelheim, and the Schools Division Office of Bacolod City. The video will serve as an engaging educational resource to help learners understand the importance of rabies prevention and responsible pet ownership.
Through strong partnerships and continuous education, we move closer to our shared goal of creating safer, healthier, and rabies-free communities.

Education knows no boundaries! 📚✨

On July 20, 2026, we proudly signed nine (9) Memoranda of Agreement (MOA) with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology - Regional Office-Negros Island Region (BJMP-RO-NIR) for the continuous implementation of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) in the three (3) District Jails in Bacolod City.

Through this partnership, we are opening doors to new beginnings, proving that it is never too late to learn and rebuild one's life. Together with our dedicated ALS teachers, School Heads, DepEd Officials and BJMP personnel, we are committed to providing quality education, hope, and a brighter future for every Filipino.
