🌿 BUILDING PEACE, CONNECTING COMMUNITIES! 🤝🌱

From better roads to stronger communities, every step forward brings us closer to a future filled with peace, progress, and opportunity! 🇵🇭✨

Earlier today, ARD for Technical Services Engr. Joan Nathaniel F. Gerangaya of DENR Negros Island Region (NIR) joined the ceremonial turnover of the completed road concreting projects and the Kapatiran Multi-Purpose Center in Cadiz City, marking another milestone in advancing peace and development in the community.

The activity also highlighted the presentation of the Comprehensive Development and Management Plan for the Peace and Development Sites of Kapatiran, a roadmap toward inclusive growth, sustainable development, and lasting peace. 🌱🏡

Joining the momentous occasion were Hon. Mel Senen Sarmiento, Secretary and Presidential Adviser of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU); Hon. Eugenio José "B**g" V. Lacson , Governor of the Province of Negros Occidental; Hon. Alfredo “Thirdy” Marañon III, Congressman of the 2nd District of Negros Occidental; and Hon. Salvador G. Escalante, Mayor of Cadiz City.

Because peace is more than the absence of conflict,it is about building opportunities, connecting people, and creating communities where everyone can thrive. 💚

A solution proves its value when it can move beyond the place where it started.
For plastic circularity, that means creating the policy, market, financing, and partnership conditions that allow approaches that work to be adopted by more businesses, communities, and consumers.

During the Plastic Reboot Philippines launching and signing ceremony in Manila, DENR Secretary Atty. Juan Miguel T. Cuna emphasized the need to take promising solutions further, so they can grow from individual pilots into practices that shape the wider economy.

With a five-year focus on the food and beverage sector, Plastic Reboot Philippines aims to prevent more than 355,000 metric tons of plastic waste.
