๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ. The Municipality of La Castellana, led by Mayor Aรฑejo G. Nicor, through the Office of Municipal Agriculture headed by Municipal Agriculturist Jeramae Gerardino Lauren Salapante together with the DA staff, successfully conducted the ๐๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ช๐ผ๐ฟ๐ธ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ in Lakan Maningo Integrated Garden, Sitio Villa Caรฑa, Brgy. Robles.
The activity highlighted the vital role of bees in pollination and sustainable agriculture, and promoting practical knowledge in beekeeping among participants from different farmers in La Castellana, Kanlaon Green Brigade (KGB), and students and faculty from Manghanoy Farm School and LCNHS-SHS.
Beyond its agricultural value, the workshop also opened possible opportunities for farm tourism/agri-tourism initiatives in La Castellana, showcasing beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood that can contribute not only to food production and biodiversity conservation, but also to educational and tourism experiences within the municipality.
