📢 ADVISORY

The Bureau of Quarantine clarifies the validity of the Inactivated Polio Vaccine (IPV) under BOQ Memorandum Circular No. 2025-04.

💉 The IPV administered at the Bureau of Quarantine shall be valid for one (1) year from the date of vaccination.

🌍 This applies to travelers from countries identified with a potential risk of international polio spread:
1️⃣ Afghanistan
2️⃣ Pakistan
3️⃣ Mozambique
4️⃣ DR Congo
5️⃣ French Guiana (France)
6️⃣ Guinea

Please verify your travel destination’s vaccination entry requirements before departure.

The Department of Health (DOH) through the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) now presents updated guidelines for vaccine certificates.

1. For international arrivals, presentation of vaccination status and vaccination certificate for COVID-19 is not required. All arriving international travelers are accepted regardless of their vaccination status.
2. For departing international travelers, the vaccination requirements depend on the country of destination. It is highly recommended that the travelers should check on the requirements of the country that he/she is going.
3. For OFWs and seafarers, the issuance of the International Certificate of Vaccination for Prophylaxis for Yellow Fever Vaccine and other vaccinations depends on the requirement of the agency/company.
