🌟 Breastfeeding and First 1000 Days Summit 2026 🌟

Matagumpay na isinagawa ang summit na naglalayong palakasin ang kamalayan at suporta para sa kalusugan ng mga ina at sanggol sa unang 1000 araw ng kanilang buhay, September 5. Dinaluhan ito ni Vice Mayor Francis Fontanilla na nagbigay ng kanyang taos-pusong mensahe ng suporta, binigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng mga programang pangkalusugan na patuloy na isinusulong ng LGU para sa mas malusog na komunidad.

Sa mga panayam, ibinahagi ng mga nanay at officers ng Breastfriends ang kanilang pasasalamat sa mga serbisyong hatid ng lokal na pamahalaan. Mula sa libreng programang pang-nutrisyon, hanggang sa pagsuporta sa breastfeeding - ramdam nila ang malasakit at pagtutok ng LGU sa kapakanan ng bawat pamilya. Ang kanilang mga kwento ay patunay na ang mga programang ito ay tunay na nakakaapekto sa buhay ng mga mamamayan. 💙👶🤱

Ang summit ay hindi lamang pagtitipon, kundi isang makabuluhang hakbang tungo sa mas malusog na kinabukasan para sa mga bata at mas empowered na mga ina. Sa tulong ng LGU at mga katuwang na organisasyon, patuloy nating isinusulong ang adbokasiya para sa kalusugan at nutrisyon sa unang yugto ng buhay.

𝗕𝗔𝗖𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗡 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗬𝗘𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗢𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘𝗔𝗧 𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬!

The Municipal Nutrition Action Office of LGU Bacnotan led the observance of Obesity Prevention Awareness Week, turning the workplace into a venue for learning, movement, and wellness.

The activity featured a practical lecture on fighting obesity by MNPC John B. Espiritu, sharing of nutrition vision and mission and other health promotion features, followed by a high-energy one-hour Zumba session led by Ms. Madonna Maravilla and Ms. Maridel Madayag of the Bacnotan Tropa Peepz Group. The activity wrapped up with a fun-filled raffle activity for participating LGU employees.

With the strong support of Mayor Divine Fontanilla and Vice Mayor Francis Fontanilla, LGU Bacnotan continues to promote a workplace where health, fitness, and wellness are part of the culture.

𝗠𝗡𝗖-𝗧𝗪𝗚 & 𝗡𝗘𝗧 𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗜𝗘𝗪 𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗔𝗖𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗣𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗛𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦, 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗟𝗣𝗜 𝗣𝗥𝗢 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗔𝗬 𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

The Municipal Nutrition Committee Technical Working Group (MNC-TWG) and Nutrition Evaluation Team (NET) convened to review the implementation and accomplishments of Bacnotan’s Local Nutrition Action Plan (LNAP) for the first semester of 2026.

The activity also included an orientation-workshop on MELLPI Pro (Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol) in Nutrition, in preparation for its conduct among Barangay Nutrition Committees (BNCs) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) on September 7–8, 2026.

Vice Mayor Francis Fontanilla who attended the event, said that through strengthened monitoring and evaluation, Bacnotan would alwys ensure that nutrition programs remain on track, responsive, and aligned—from the barangay to the municipal level.
