Last May, our barangay held one of the most unforgettable celebrationsโ€”the Bunga Festivalโ€”where the talents and creativity of our youth were truly showcased. Thanks to the hard work and unity of Purok 9, we were honored to be named the overall 1st runner-up! And now, to celebrate this incredible achievement, weโ€™re spreading the love by donating solar lights and cleaning materials to the San Isidro Labrador Chapel, along with gifts for the kinder and Grade 1 students of Lower Bonga Elementary School.

This simple celebration would not have been possible without the support of our youth, families, friends, Purok 9 residents, and of course, the entire Bonga Barangay Council. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you all. Your kindness and generosity have filled our hearts with so much joy, and because of you, we are able to share the magic of Christmas through simple gifts and warm smiles. The whole Purok 9 Officers are deeply grateful for your love and support.

CONTEMPORARY DANCE CATEGORY
Guidelines:
-Participants must be residents of the purok they represent.
-Each group must submit a duly accomplished entry form.
-Each participant must submit a photocopy of birth certificate, waiver/parents consent for participants under 17 yrs of age, and a certificate of residency signed by the barangay secretary.
-Each group must consist of minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 members.
-Music to be used are subject to be given by the committee in charge through a draw lot of each purok president or representative.
-Participating teams may or have the freedom to remix or alter their assigned music.
-Groups are encouraged to incorporate story telling or thematic elements to enhance overall performance.
-Props may be used as long as they do not delay the performance, destroy the stage set up, nor harm the members especially the guests.
-Deadly stunts are strictly prohibited. The committee will not be liable to those untoward incidences that may happen. Safety will be prioritized.
-All participants should conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship all throughout the competition.
-The judgeโ€™s decision is final and irrevocable.

-Music to be used must be clean, appropriate for all ages and should not contain any harmful lyrics.
-Props may be used as long as they do not delay the performance, destroy the stage set up, nor harm the members especially the guests.
-Deadly stunts are strictly prohibited. The committee will not be liable to those untoward incidences that may happen. Safety will be prioritized.
-All participants should conduct themselves in a manner displaying good sportsmanship all throughout the competition.

โ€ข Only those players whose names appear on the official entry form signed by the SK Purok President.
โ€ข The presidentโ€™s official list of players will determine who is allowed to play. Upon submission, no more replacement of players.
โ€ข Participants must be bonafide residents of their respective puroks and can be of any age. For those 15-30 years of age, they should be registered youth of the Brgy. Bonga by providing evidence that they responded to the ๐Š๐Š ๐๐ซ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐  Conducted via survey by the SK Council. For those 31 years and above, at least 1 valid ID (preferably voterโ€™s ID) signifying that you are a resident of that purok. Are you ready to outwit your opponent and claim victory on the game of kings and queens?

Sangguniang Kabataan-Bonga presents to you the first-ever โ€œ2024 BUNGA FESTIVAL CHESS TOURNAMENTโ€ with the theme โ€œStrategic Showdowns: Uniting SK through Chess Excellence!โ€.

General Tournament Guidelines and Details:
1. The tournament is open to all Bongayano Youth only.
2. There will be 2 categories to be played in the tournament. Mixed (Men/Women) 15-20 years old and Mixed (Men/Women) 21-25 years old only.
3. It will be inter-purok chess tournament where each purok must have two representatives which composed of one player (Men/Women) for 15-20 y/o category and one player (Men/Women) for 21-25 y/o category only.
4. Participating individuals should submit certificate of residency and a photocopy of birth certificate attached to the entry form for verification purposes.
5. All categories matches are best of one game only. The first side to checkmate the opponentโ€™s king will win the game.
6. Official line up per purok must be submitted to JOHN DOMINIC BIGOL, the Tournament Manager on or before April 12, 2024.
7. Only those players whose name appears on the official entry form signed by the Junior Purok President will be allowed to play. Upon submission no more replacement of players.
8. Participants must bring their own chessboard and install chess clock to their own smartphones.
9. The entire tournament is sponsored by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Bonga so there will be NO REGISTRATION FEE to be collected.
10. Prizes for both Categories:

BUNGA FESTIVAL VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT 2024

Guidelines:
-OPEN to all volleyball enthusiasts (MEN & WOMEN) only of Barangay Bonga ages from 12 to 40 years old.
-Each team should be a combination of Puroks 1&2, 3&4, 5&6, 7&8, and 9&10
-The tournament will be played of a team of MEN & WOMEN.
-Each player must submit a waiver/parents permit, photocopy of Birth Certificate and Certificate of Residency.
-Each participating team must compose a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 12 members only.
-Each participating team must accomplish the registration form and a registration fee of 50 pesos per player.
-Submit the requirements to SK Councilor MARY FRANCE BELARDO on or before April 12, 2024.

๐†๐ฎ๐ข๐๐ž๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ:
1. The members of the Executive Committee of the Bunga Festival 2024, the Barangay Officials, SK Officials and Volunteers are not allowed to participate.
2. The Search for Mutya at Lakan ng Bonga 2024 is exclusively open to residents of Bonga ONLY.
3. At least 15-25 years old and must be single [civil status], in good health and has never been a mother or father.
4. Must possess pleasing personality and character.
5. Candidates must not be a Municipal, Provincial, Regional, National or International Winner in any certain pageants. The organizer wants to discover new talents and beauty from our barangay.
6. There must be two official candidates from each purok, one (1) for male and one (1) for female category.
7. All candidates must submit the following to the heads of Mutya at Lakan ng Bonga 2024 on April 12, 2024.
a. Accomplished Application form (To be provided by the organizers)
b. Photo Copy of Birth Certificate (PSA or City CRO) of candidate and/or parent(s)
c. A letter duly signed by the Junior Purok President, the Senior Purok President and by the candidate that they are the official candidates of their respective purok
d. Barangay Certificate as official candidate
e. 1pc. 2x2 close up picture (headshot).
8. The official candidates must follow the schedule imposed by the organizers. Noncompliance to the schedule will have a demerit of 2 points per noncompliance.
9. The winners shall automatically earn points for their purok.
10. The Junior and Senior Purok Officers is advised to support their official representatives in terms of food of their candidates if needed, the makeup artists, and any other unexpected and oriented situations.

GUIDELINES:
-There will be 3 categories to be played in the tournament. Men Singles, Women Singles and Men Doubles only.
-All singles and doubles matches are best of three games. The first side to reach 21 points win a game.
-The tournament is open to all Bongayano Youth only. It will be inter-purok tournament where each purok must have a Badminton Teams which composed of 4 players for boys (2 Single Players and a Doubles) and the other team is composed of 2 players for girls that will play for Singles only.
-Official line up per purok must be submitted to JOEL B. BANEZ, the Tournament Manager on or before April 12, 2024.
-Only those players whose name appear on the official entry form signed by the SK Purok President will be allowed to play. Upon submission no more replacement of players.
-Participant must bring their own Badminton Racquet and only the shuttle c**k will be provided by the committee.
-The entire tournament is sponsored by the Sanguniang Kabataan of Bonga so there will be NO REGISTRATION FEE to be collected.

GUIDELINES:
1. Participation in the Bunga Festival 2024 Executive Committee, Barangay Officials, SK Officials, and Volunteers is prohibited.
2. Each Purok is required to assemble a team of 5 members, who can be of any gender or a mix thereof.
3. Eligible participants must be residents of the Purok they represent and aged between 15 to 25 years old.
4. All materials necessary for the tournament will be provided by the organizers.
5. The official lineup for each Purok must be submitted to the organizing committee no later than April 12, 2024.
6. Only players whose names are listed on the official entry form, signed by the SK Purok President, will be permitted to compete. No substitutions will be allowed after submission.
7. Participants are expected to arrive at the venue 30 minutes before the tournament for orientation.
8. The tournament is scheduled to take place on May 14, 2024, at the Gel Blaster Field in Purok 9 Bonga, Bacacay, Albay.

THE SEARCH FOR MISS BONGAY 2024
GUIDELINES:
1. Applicants must be a Bona fide resident of Barangay Bonga.
2. Applicants must be at least ten (10) years old and not more than thirty (30) years old on the date of application.
3. Applicants must be of good moral character and must not have been convicted of any crime, or currently facing prosecution for violations of any law.
4. Applicants must have a good stance and posture, with a pleasing personality and engaging charm.
5. Applicants are required to present their birth certificate and get a copy of their certificate of residency, as well as the application forms (provided by the committees), starting on March 23, 2024, until April 12, 2024.
6. The deadline for submission of photocopied birth certificates, certificates of residency, and pageant application forms will be on April 12, 2024, at 11:59 A.M. only.
7. Importing candidates for Miss BONGAY 2024 from another Barangay and Purok to represent their Purok is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED.
8. Only 3 corporate awards are allowed for each candidate.
9. Handlers from outside of our beloved Barangay Bonga are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
