𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐰 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐏 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐜

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) announced that YAKAP beneficiaries can now request reassignment to a new YAKAP Clinic during the fourth quarter of the year, providing members greater freedom and flexibility in accessing primary healthcare services.

Transfer Rules:
Beneficiaries who have not yet availed their First Patient Encounter may apply for a clinic transfer at any time during the year, with approved requests taking effect immediately.

Beneficiaries who have completed their FPE may only request a transfer during the fourth quarter (October to December) of the current year. Approved transfers will take effect on January 1 of the following year.

To request a transfer, members must visit any PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) for member verification and liveness checking via the PhilHealth Check Utility (PCU). Applicants who cannot complete PCU verification, such as those whose PhilSys registration has not yet been finalized, may present one valid government-issued identification card or other acceptable documents, together with a duly accomplished Primary Care Selection Form. Beneficiaries unable to personally request their transfer, may authorize a representative by submitting an authorization letter and valid IDs for both the member and the representative. Upon request approval, beneficiaries will receive an email notification confirming their assignment to their new YAKAP Clinic.

The LGU Bacacay is honored to receive a Certificate of Recognition from the Department of Health – Bicol Center for Health Development for achieving the 1% Blood Collection Target for CY 2025, demonstrating its strong commitment to the National Voluntary Blood Services Program (NVBSP).

Ang recognition po na ini para man sa gabos na barangay sa pamayo kan mahihigos na Kapitan na padagos ang suporta sa mobile blood donation. Dakulaon na salamat man po sa mga Bacacayano na Dugong Bayani sa pagheras kan saindong dugo para masugpunan ang buhay kan iba. Saludo po kami sa gabos na blood donors!

LOOK| Earlier today, October 20, 2026, the Rural Health Unit of Bacacay, in partnership with the Municipal Dengue Task Force Incident Command Team, conducted fogging and misting operations and search-and-destroy activities in Barangays Cabasan, Napao, and Vinisitahan Island in response to the clustering of dengue cases in the affected areas.

As part of the ongoing dengue prevention and control efforts, Ma’am Kathleen Jane P. Cubelo, DMO IV, and Ma’am Sharon T. Besmonte, PHN, conducted a consultative meeting and provided technical assistance to barangay officials and Barangay Health Workers to strengthen local dengue response initiatives and community participation.

The team also visited Cagraray District Hospital to assess the current situation and ensure an efficient and timely reporting system for notifiable diseases, reinforcing coordination and surveillance efforts among healthcare facilities.
