BAAO SOARS TO NEW HEIGHTS WITH STABLE INTERNAL PEACE AND SECURITY STATUS
LOOK! The Municipality of Baao proudly celebrates a historic achievement as it is officially declared under Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) status during a ceremonial proclamation held on April 28, 2026.
The event, which drew nearly 200 participants, was graced by esteemed leaders and partners in public service and community development, including BGEN Emil J. Cruz, Commander, 901st Brigade, 9th Infantry Division, Philippine Army; LTC Michael N. Madayag of the 49th Infantry Battalion; Lino Ruperto R. Boncodin Jr, LGOO VI, Program Manager of DILG-Cam Sur; PLTCOL Dino Ben E. Regazpi, Deputy Provincial Director for Operations of CSPPO; Mr. Ysmael Leyva, Deputy Regional Director for Situational Awareness and Knowledge Management (SAKM); LT Kenny F. Villafuerte of the Philippine Coast Guard; JSUPT Denver S. Tirao, Acting District Warden of Iriga City; and Hon. Jeffrey S. Besinio, Municipal Mayor of Baao.
Beyond the formal resolution, the ceremony featured the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and a symbolic thumbs mark imprinting, solidifying a unified commitment to uphold peace and order.
This milestone is more than a declaration. It is a testament to the enduring partnership among the Local Government Unit of Baao, government agencies, security forces, and the people of Baao. It reflects years of commitment, trust building, and shared efforts to uphold peace and order.
Mayor Jeffrey S. Besinio emphasized that this status is a testament to the community's dedication to sustainable peace. With SIPS status now in effect, the municipality can look forward to strengthened public safety, increased opportunities for investment and economic growth, and the continuous delivery of responsive and people centered services.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Baao reaffirms its continued commitment to support the municipality in sustaining its SIPS status, ensuring that the gains of peace are protected and translated into meaningful progress for every Baaoeño.
Indeed, this is not just a victory for today, but a promise of a brighter and more secure tomorrow for the entire Municipality of Baao.
