DTI Negros Oriental, under the guidance of Provincial Director Juliet Banogon and SME Development Division Chief Maribel Sumanoy, facilitated the turnover of Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa โ Livelihood Seeding Program (PPG-LSP) business kits to micro-entrepreneurs affected by calamities in Siaton, Canlaon City, and Ayungon.
The Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) Program is DTIโs livelihood recovery initiative that provides immediate assistance to MSMEs affected by disasters and crises. Through the Livelihood Seeding Program business kits and essential capacity-building trainings, the program enables micro-entrepreneurs to restart or strengthen their operations. Implemented in close coordination with LGUs and supported by Negosyo Centers, PPG ensures responsive, community-based, and timely interventions that help MSMEs rebuild and regain stability.
On October 23, 11 flood-hit MSMEs in Siaton received their business kits along with a livelihood training. This was followed on November 14 in Canlaon City, where 28 MSMEs affected by the volcanic eruption and an Ayungon fire incident was provided with business kits and entrepreneurial training. In total, 40 MSMEs were assisted, 40 business kits were distributed, and 2 trainings were conducted.
The initiative was made possible through the coordination of PPG Program Manager Shawn Ramirez, with the facilitation of Negosyo Center Area Coordinators Barbi Gadingan and Lysa Bayate, and Business Counselors Arlene Bantoto, Karylle Tan, Mae Villaseca, and Shem Silva. DTI extends its appreciation to the LGUs of Siaton, Ayungon, and Canlaon City for their strong cooperation in the successful rollout of the program.
