This initiative marks a significant step towards bolstering the local economy and enhancing food security for the residents of Cabagan.
The โ‚ฑ540,000 SSF, awarded to LGU Cabagan with the Cabagan Meat Vendors and Butchers Association as the beneficiary, was inaugurated during the townโ€™s 1st Regional Pancit Festival and Kalesa, Kabayu, Kalaseru (K*K) Festival. Designed to boost productivity, improve product quality, and expand market opportunities, the facility provides local farmers and meat processors with access to modern equipment, allowing them to process and market their products more efficiently. Restauro, along with DTI staff. The launch featured a live demonstration and test run of the state-of-the-art equipment, giving local meat processors a firsthand look at the advanced technology that will enhance production efficiency and ensure high-quality meat products.
Beyond improving processing capabilities, the SSF will serve as a platform for training and skills development, ensuring that local entrepreneurs and workers can fully maximize the benefits of the facility. By equipping them with the necessary knowledge and expertise, the project is poised to uplift the economic landscape of Cabagan and improve the livelihoods of its citizens. Through initiatives like this, DTI envisions a stronger, more competitive local meat industry that drives economic growth and business sustainability.
Local government officials, community leaders, and stakeholders expressed optimism about the projectโ€™s long-term impact, highlighting the importance of government-private sector collaboration in fostering economic development. As Cabagan continues to grow, initiatives like the SSF Project pave the way for a stronger local industry, empowered entrepreneurs, and a more resilient economy.
