PROJECT TURNOVER💧🌱

The Project LAWA at BINHI was successfully turned over to the MACATEL FARMERS ASSOCIATION in Caglayan, Conner, Apayao and to its 50 active partner-beneficiaries.

The event took an emotional turn when one of our partner-beneficiaries took the stage to sing "Biag ti Pobre" (Life of the Poor). Through his song, he movingly described the daily struggles of marginalized farmers, pouring out heartfelt gratitude to the program for truly listening, reaching out, and making them a priority.

This initiative is more than just a turnover—it’s a promise kept, bringing sustainable water access and food security straight to the hands of those who feed us. Here’s to a resilient, thriving future for Conner!

Handing over the keys to a more resilient Macalino: Official turnover of the Project LAWA at BINHI site to the Masuwerte Agriculture Cooperative 🌾💧

A major milestone for climate resilience and food security in Apayao! The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), in close partnership with the Local Government Unit of Calanasan, officially turned over the completed Project LAWA at BINHI sites to our partner-beneficiaries in Barangay Macalino.

Through the combined efforts of the community during the Cash-for-Work and Cash-for-Training components, Macalino is now better equipped with small-scale water solutions (LAWA) and sustainable communal farming systems (BINHI). This initiative doesn't just provide immediate support—it builds long-term self-reliance and equips our communities to adapt to changing climate realities.
