MALACAÑANG ORDERS ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS AMID HEAVY RAINS

ordered government offices in Metro Manila and 14 provinces to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements on Tuesday, 18 August 2026, due to continuous heavy rainfall associated with the southwest .

Under Memorandum Circular 128, the directive covers Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal, Laguna and Occidental Mindoro.

Alternative learning modes will also be implemented for all levels in public and private schools in the affected areas unless otherwise directed by their respective local chief executives.

Agencies providing basic and health services, disaster response and other vital services will continue operations, while work arrangements in the private sector are left to management’s discretion. | Raffy Ayeng

As of 8:00 PM today, 14 August 2026, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 08e) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is "UNLIKELY" to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

Super long weekend is waving! 👋

Special Non-Working Holiday po ang June 11 (Araw ng Lalawigan ng Rizal). At Regular Non-Working Holiday naman ang June 12 (Araw ng Kalayaan). Sakto pang Sabado at Linggo ang kasunod na mga araw. Naks, apat na araw na pahinga na 'yan para sa iba! 😅
