📅 𝟏𝟔 𝐭𝐨 𝟑𝟎 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | The DICT CALABARZON continued its mission of advancing digital transformation across the region through a series of capacity development, digital governance, and connectivity initiatives.

ICT capacity-building activities were conducted for LGUs, government personnel, students, MSMEs, and special sectors, covering topics such as ICT project management, quality management systems, cybersecurity, digital literacy, AI tools, and responsible use of emerging technologies. Parallel efforts also strengthened digital governance through eLGU and eGovPH orientations and coordination meetings with partner LGUs across CALABARZON.

The region’s commitment to inclusive connectivity was further highlighted through the Free Public Internet Access Program turnover activity, alongside continuous engagements with local leaders and stakeholders to support ongoing digital initiatives.

Together, these efforts reflect DICT CALABARZON’s continuing drive to build a secure, inclusive, and digitally empowered region.

The activity commenced on Day 1 with the Philippine National Public Key Infrastructure (PNPKI) Orientation and User’s Training, where participants were introduced to the importance of digital signatures in ensuring the security, integrity, and legality of government transactions. Following the orientation, participants immediately underwent the application process and successfully secured their digital certificates, enabling more secure and paperless government workflows.

On Day 2, the focus shifted to digital government platforms and productivity tools. Participants were oriented on eGov and eLGU systems designed to streamline and modernize public service delivery. This was followed by a hands-on Google Workspace training, where they learned practical applications of cloud-based tools for improved collaboration, efficiency, and data management in the workplace.

The final day highlighted both creativity and cybersecurity awareness. Participants engaged in a Canva training session, exploring its features for designing effective and engaging public information materials and local advocacy campaigns. The program concluded with a Cybersecurity Awareness seminar, equipping participants with essential knowledge and best practices to protect systems, data, and digital identities against emerging cyber threats.

Through this initiative, DICT and LGU Taytay continue to empower public servants with future-ready digital competencies, advancing the municipality’s journey toward a more secure, efficient, and digitally transformed public service.

The workshop emphasized strategies for building citizen-centered, high-performing organizations, with a focus on government Quality Management System standards, quality management advocacy and capability development, and the pursuit of ISO 9001 certification aligned with internationally recognized standards.
