โEnsuring Fair Play, Integrity, and Unity in Antipolo SK Sports! ๐โฝ๐โ
Sports are not just about competition, they are about fair play, integrity, and unity. To uphold these values, the SK Federation of Antipolo City has passed a resolution prohibiting athletes from representing multiple barangays in SK organized tournaments. This ensures that every player competes for their rightful barangay, creating a level playing field and promoting honesty in sports.
For years, issues like athletes switching barangays, unauthorized team compositions, and unfair advantages have disrupted the spirit of our sports events. These problems have caused repeated conflicts, disputes, and unfair competition in various leagues. This has been a long standing issue one that has never been properly addressed until now.
With this resolution, we are taking a firm and decisive step to put an end to this cycle. Every athlete must represent only their own barangay, ensuring fairness and equal opportunities for all. However, we also recognize the challenges faced by smaller barangays like Calawis and Muntingdilaw, which have limited budgets and smaller populations, making it difficult to form competitive teams. As a solution, these barangays are granted exemptions to allow participation from other barangays when necessary to complete their rosters. This measure ensures inclusivity while still upholding the principles of fair play and integrity in SK organized sports events.
With the consensus of the SK Chairpersons from all 16 barangays in Antipolo City, this resolution aims to prevent disputes over players representing multiple barangays, overaged participants, and unauthorized team compositions issues that have previously caused disruptions in our tournaments. This is more than just a rule it is a commitment to creating a sports culture built on honesty, unity, and respect for every athleteโs rightful place.
๐ข This resolution was approved on January 17, 2025, but we are officially posting it now as we approach the summer season a time when many local leagues and tournaments are organized. We understand that summer sports events play a significant role in fostering camaraderie and youth engagement, and we want to ensure that all competitions are conducted fairly, free from disputes, and in the true spirit of sportsmanship.
