GOVERNOR ARIS AUMENTADO ORDERS SUSPENSION OF CLASSES IN BOHOL DUE TO TYPHOON TINO
Governor Erico Aristotle C. Aumentado has issued Executive Order No. 30, Series of 2025, declaring the suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private, throughout the Province of Bohol on November 3, 2025, due to the threat posed by Typhoon Tino (international name: Kalmaegi).
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Tropical Storm Kalmaegi entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility on November 2 and is expected to intensify into a typhoon with maximum sustained winds of 150β155 km/h. The storm is forecasted to affect the whole of Central Visayas, including Bohol, bringing heavy rains, strong winds, and rough sea conditions.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) recommended the suspension of classes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and residents in vulnerable areas.
Governor Aumentado also emphasized that while November 4 is a special non-working holiday in Bohol in observance of Carlos P. Garcia Day, government offices involved in essential, health, and disaster response services shall remain operational to ensure continued delivery of vital public functions.
