Strengthening education and skills development through meaningful partnerships.

Anilao National High School received a TVL Equipment Donation through the Project LIADLAW: Turnover Ceremony on August 27, 2026, made possible through the generous support of VIVANT Energy and VIVANT Foundation.

The donated equipment will further enhance the school’s Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Program by providing learners with better opportunities for hands-on learning and skills development, preparing them for future employment, entrepreneurship, and other opportunities.

Education in Anilao took a meaningful step forward as local government leaders, education officials, teachers, partners, and community stakeholders gathered for the Anilao Education Summit 2026, a landmark initiative centered on one shared commitment: to build a stronger education system through genuine partnership and collective action.

Carrying the theme, β€œStrengthening Partnerships, Empowering Learners: Building a Brighter Future for Anilao Education,” the
summit brought together key voices from the Municipality of Anilao, the Province of Iloilo, the Department of Education, and
civil society to discuss opportunities, challenges, and concrete pathways toward a more responsive and empowered education sector.

The summit underscored a fundamental truth: education is not the responsibility of schools alone. It is a shared undertaking of the community.

Among the distinguished voices at the gathering were Vice Governor Nathalie Ann Debuque; Dr. Raul Banias, Provincial
Administrator; Ruby Therese P. Almencion, PhD, CESO VI, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent/OIC of the Office of the
Schools Division Superintendent; and Nestor Paul M. Pingil, EdD, PhD, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division of the Schools Division of Iloilo, ISUFST President Dr. Nordy Siason Jr., Board Member Jason Gonzales and Dr. Raymundo Lapating retired PSDS of Iloilo.

A central moment of the summit was the Municipal Education Address delivered by Hon. Ma. Teresa F. Debuque, Municipal
Mayor of Anilao, presenting the municipality's status in the field of learning, commitment to education as a vital investment in human development and the future of the community.

The summit also featured a workshop facilitated by Mr. Edwin Nacionales, Program Officer of Panay-Guimaras Synergia Foundation, providing participants with an opportunity to move
beyond discussion and toward meaningful collaboration, strategic thinking, and actionable commitments.

The Pledge of Commitment further transformed the summit's message into a collective promiseβ€”affirming that the future of Anilao's learners must be pursued not through isolated

A day filled with youth, energy, and community spirit came alive as Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 brought together the young people, families, and community leaders of Anilao for a celebration of fun, friendship, and togetherness.

The celebration opened with remarks from Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation President Eduardo Jorque III, followed by a warm message from Vice Mayor Lyka Joy D. Gelle, with the program led by Social Welfare Officer II Mejie Dolormente and Local Youth Development Officer Rodgen Bosque. The celebration was also supported by LGU Family, headed by Mayor Ma. Teresa F. Debuque, whose continued support strengthens programs for the youth, the Sangguniang Bayan Members, and the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation.

The day kicked off with registration, an energizing zumba session, free food stalls, and a photo booth, setting the mood for an exciting day ahead. The fun continued with the 3K and 5K Fun Run, followed by magical performances, adorable mascots for the little ones, and DJβ€”the Master of the Dance Floor, who kept everyone moving and the energy high!

The Municipality of Anilao extends its heartfelt appreciation to Congressman Ferjenel G. Biron, Uswag Ilonggo, and PEPSI-COLA Products Philippines, Inc. for their valuable support. The Municipality of Anilao celebrated Bulan Sang Pamatan-on 2026, bringing together young people to learn, share their ideas, and showcase their talents.

The morning program featured a Youth Symposium with Atty. Joebert Encio, CPA, State Auditor II of COA, who discussed responsible media use and youth participation in community development. In the afternoon, the youth took part in Tagisan ng Galing, featuring the Municipal Quiz Bee, Extemporaneous Speaking, Spoken Poetry, and On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest.

The celebration also featured messages from Hon. Ma. Teresa F. Debuque, Municipal Mayor; Hon. Regina S. Glimero, SB Member and Committee Chairperson on Education; Hon. Lyka Joy D. Gelle, Municipal Vice Mayor; and Mr. Rogen Bosque, Local Youth Development Officer.

More than a celebration, Bulan Sang Pamatan-on 2026 was a reminder that the youth have the voice, talent, and potential to make a difference. The Municipality of Anilao participated in the BANAAG (Banwa nga Nagapasanag sang Aksiyon, Adbokasiya, kag Giya): Mentors’ Training on Cybercrime Awareness and Drug Prevention Education, held on August 6–7, 2026, at Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City.

Representing the Municipality were MLGOO Meryl Baraquia, Peace and Order Focal Person Alyssa BustaliΓ±o, Gender and Development Focal Person Mejie Dolormente, Anti-Drug Abuse Council Focal Person Dj Cabangal, and Local Youth Development Officer Rogen Bosque, together with BANAAG mentors and facilitators: Arnel Laroscain, Kristine MontaΓ±o, Rheniel John DequiΓ±o, Mery Jean Galas, and youth organization leaders from Anilao.

The training provided an avenue for the participants to gain relevant knowledge, exchange insights, and enhance their understanding of cybercrime awareness and drug prevention education. As mentors and focal persons, the knowledge and experiences gained from the activity will help strengthen their capacity to guide and engage the youth, promote responsible decision-making, and support preventive initiatives within the community.

Through continuous learning and collaboration, the Municipality of Anilao remains committed to strengthening its programs on youth development, peace and order, gender-responsive initiatives, and drug prevention.
