Ayon sa BMBE Act of 2002, ang mga registered Barangay Micro Business Enterprise (BMBE) ay maaaring magpasahod ng emplayado nang mas mababa sa minimum wage.
Mga dapat tandaan:
- Kapag mayroon nang BMBE Certificate of Authority ang negosyo, automatically exempted na ito mula sa minimum wage law.
- Dapat pa ring makatanggap ang BMBE employee ng mga government-mandated benefits, tulad ng social security at health care benefits (e.g. PhilHealth, SSS, Pag-ibig, etc.)
- Ang minimum wage law exemption ay applicable lamang sa mga empleyadong na-hire pagkatapos mag-register ng negosyo bilang BMBE.

Dahil sa negosyo, naisalba ang buhay ng kaniyang bunsong anak.

Dating Physics teacher si Charish Tanawan. Dahil hindi sapat ang kaniyang kinikita para sa operasyon ng anak na nagkakahalaga ng ₱1.5 milyon, nagpursige siyang magbenta ng cakes kasabay ng pagtuturo. Ngayon, full-time na siya sa pastry business na kumikita ng milyon-milyon.
