Title: The Prison You Can’t See: Emotional Imprisonment, Denial, Unhealthy Patterns, and Freedom Through Recovery
Group Dynamics
Game 1 Title: Flip the Bottle
Aim:
The aim of Flip the Bottle is to strengthen participants’ understanding of emotional imprisonment, denial, unhealthy patterns, and the process of recovery through teamwork, participation, and critical thinking.
Purpose:
This activity is designed to encourage participants to actively recall and apply the lessons discussed in the lecture through a fun and interactive group challenge. Participants will take turns flipping the bottle, and once the bottle lands standing, they may pick one letter that will help them complete the hidden recovery-related word. Along the game, participants must answer questions related to emotional struggles, denial, unhealthy coping mechanisms, and recovery in order to identify the correct hidden word.
The activity symbolizes how recovery and freedom from emotional imprisonment happen step by step. Just as participants gradually complete the hidden word through effort, patience, and teamwork, healing and personal change also require self-awareness, perseverance, and support from others.
Game 2 Title: Pitik Calamansi with a Twist
Aim:
To help participants develop patience in intentional decision-making while reflecting on the unhealthy patterns and emotional burdens associated with addiction and recovery.
Purpose:
The game symbolizes the recovery process that requires participants to focus while aiming at a small target. This reflects recovery from emotional imprisonment and addiction, as healing requires discipline and intentional choices.
