Angeles City Police Office Conducts Series of Successful Anti-Crime Operations
ANGELES CITY – The Angeles City Police Office (ACPO) carried out three successful operations on May 10, 2025, targeting illegal drug activities and the arrest of a wanted individual, as part of its intensified anti-crime campaign.
At around 5:05 AM, joint operatives of the Angeles City Drug Enforcement Unit (ACDEU) and Police Station 5 conducted a buy-bust operation along Kalayaan Road, Barangay Cutcut, Angeles City. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects identified only by their aliases: BEN, a resident of Brgy. Lourdes Sur, and JANRICK, a resident of Brgy. Sapalibutad, Angeles City. Confiscated from their possession were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a combined weight of 7 grams and an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 47,600.00.
Later in the day, at around11:40 AM, Police Station 9, in coordination with CIU, CIDMU, MPU, CMFC, and Police Station 3, successfully arrested alias MJHAY, the No. 2 Most Wanted Person of PS5. The arrest took place in Barangay DGLA, Bago City, Negros Occidental through the implementation of a Warrant of Arrest for Robbery with Intimidation Against Person (Article 294 of the Revised Penal Code). The warrant, issued on April 30, 2025, by Hon. Eda P. Dizon, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 60, Angeles City, is docketed under Criminal Case No. R-ANG-19-01679-CR, for service of sentence.
Finally, at around 8:00 PM, personnel from Police Station 3 executed another buy-bust operation in Sitio Ipil-Ipil, Don Bonifacio Subdivision, Brgy. Pulung Maragul. The operation led to the arrest of alias TIAGO, a resident of Brgy. Pandacaqui, Mexico, Pampanga. Authorities seized two small heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 1 gram, valued at approximately Php 6,800.00.
