🌿🌊 Seagrass Habitat Assessment Activity 🌱👉 June 1, 2026

Nagpahigayon kita sa seagrass habitat assessment didto sa barangay Talisay aron masubay ang kahimtang, ug kahimsog sa mga seagrass beds sa atong kadagatan.

Ang seagrass usa ka importante nga puy-anan ug pangitlogan sa daghang matang sa isda, mga Kinhason, ug uban pang yamang-dagat.

Pinaagi sa panagtinabangay ug dedikasyon sa tanang partisipante, nakatigom kita og importante nga datos nga makatabang sa pagpanalipod ug pagdumala sa atong seagrasses area.

Dakung pasalamat sa mga B. S Environmental Science Intern students gikan sa BISU Clarin & Candijay Campus nga aktibong miapil ug nakat-on sa kahinungdanon sa pag-atiman sa atong kalusayan Kay nagahatag usab kanila sa praktikal nga kasinatian.

Usa ka importante nga lakang aron klaro nga mailhan ang utlanan sa Marine Sanctuary. pinaagi niini, mas sayon nga masubay ug mapanalipdan ang maong lugar batok sa ilegal nga pagpangisda, pag-angkla sa mga Banca, ug uban pang kalihokan nga makadaot sa mga kagasangan, seagrass, ug uban pang kahinguhaan sa kadagatan.

kini nga activity inubanan sa maabtik ug kugihan nga MGA intern Environmental Science students gikan sa BISU Clarin Campus, CRM Staff, and Vifias Association.

dakung pasalamat usab Kang sir Fred Carmona nga andam kanunay motabang sa mga gikinahanglan ug ang LGU-Anda sa lig ong suporta and Kooperasyon.

Salamat sa tanan nga naghatag sa ilang panahon ug kusog aron mahimong malampuson kining maong kalihokan. Magpadayon kita sa pag-atiman sa atong kadagatan alang sa umaabot nga mga henerasyon. 🐠🌱

Today’s mangrove planting activity was a meaningful step toward protecting our coastal environment, preventing shoreline erosion, and preserving marine biodiversity for future generations.

The activity was initiated by CRM personnel in cooperation with the Coast Guard Sub-Station Anda , Menro personnel, and service-oriented intern students from BISU Clarin & Candijay Campus.

Through teamwork, dedication, and community participation, we continue to support the conservation and restoration of our natural resources.

Thank you to everyone who participated and shared their time, effort, and commitment to environmental conservation. Small actions today can create a big impact tomorrow. 💚

Today, MCRM attended the Badiang Fishermen Association meeting and delivered marker buoys & rope as part of the preparation for the installation and demarcation of the Badiang Marine Protected Area together with our committed & dedicated intern Environmental Science students from BISU- Clarin Campus.

The Fishermen Association meeting highlighted
👉 Protection and management of the MPAs & scheduled for the installation and demarcation of marker buoys
👉 Participation of on-the-job training students in coastal activities
👉Discussion of association concerns, membership, and upcoming activities
👉Financial reports, membership contributions, and association projects
👉illegal fishing concerns and reporting
👉Updates on coastal resource management programs and projects
👉Awareness on marine conservation and sustainable fishing practices.

A huge thanks to the on-the-job training students, Bafias Anda association, and CRM staff sir Warren Castrodes. Your presence, cooperation, and commitment greatly contributed to the success of the discussion.

Today we successfully conducted the installation and demarcation of marker buoys in Suba Marine Protected Area💙
A vital step in protecting our coral reefs and marine life. 🌊🐠
✅Marker buoys installed
✅clearly marked Marine Sanctuary boundaries
✅Reduced coral reef damage from anchors and boat grounding
✅Increased fish population and marine biodiversity
✅Enhanced natural recovery of the marine habitat
✅Reduced illegal fishing inside the sanctuary
✅Clear basis for apprehension and penalties
✅Community partnership empowered

This activity was made possible through the strong collaboration of our partner stakeholder Amun Ini Resort & Spa Sir Fred Carmona, Our active Environmental Science student interns from BISU- Clarin Campus, BLGU Suba councils headed by Hon. Judith T. Deloso, Coast Guard Sub-Station Anda, Amun Ini divers, CFLC security guard, Fishery Technician Ma'am Marjorie Ferolino and CRM staff sir warren castrodes.

Monthly Giant Clams Monitoring

Updates on Clams monitoring in Virgen Marine Protected Areas (MPAs)

✅Count: 62 🦪
✅Average shell length : 47.14 cm
✅Maximum Size: 52.7 cm
✅Condition: Clams are healthy and show continued growth.

Monitoring was conducted with the presence of BPEMO-CRM division assisted by LGU ANDA CRM focal, and VIFIAS association.

🌊⭐ CROWN OF THORNS STARFISH REMOVAL ACTIVITY
In celebration of the Month of the Ocean🐢🌊

Today, our dedicated team from DENR- CENRO Talibon, academe volunteers, One piece resort divers, Bohol Provincial Environment Management divers, and Lgu-Anda Crm Staff worked together to remove Crown of Thorns Starfish (COTS) to help protect our coral reefs in Suba and Virgen MPAs.

These starfish may look harmless, but they are one of the major threats to our coral reefs as they feed on live corals and cause reef degradation when their population increases.

Through this activity, we aim to:
🐟Protect and restore coral reefs
🐙 Support marine biodiversity
🦐Secure sustainable fisheries for our community.
