Get ready for the Barangay Assembly Day for the 1st Semester of CY 2026!
THEME: “𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐧, 𝐊𝐚𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧, 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧.”
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 599, Series of 2018, the Barangay Assembly Day (BAD) shall be conducted on the Saturdays and Sundays of March and October of every year.

ONE SOUTHERN LEYTE UNITED AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS 🛑
Say No to Illegal Drugs. Say Yes to a Better Future.

DILG Southern Leyte, in strong partnership with the ICAD-Advocacy Cluster and under the regional initiative Project LAMPOS, reaffirms its commitment to a safe, healthy, and drug-free province.

As part of our province-wide campaign, we are intensifying our advocacy efforts by reaching out to all sectors from schools and households to workplaces and barangays to strengthen community awareness and participation in the fight against illegal drugs.

💡 A key component of this initiative is the dissemination of Information and Education Campaign (IEC) materials designed to inform, empower, and mobilize communities. These materials aim to foster responsible decision-making, promote preventive education, and encourage active citizen engagement at all levels.

We call on all stakeholders parents, educators, youth, health workers, barangay officials, and civil society to support this campaign and help amplify the message of a drug-free Southern Leyte.

🌟 Through collective action and shared responsibility, we can break the cycle of drug abuse and build a safer, more resilient province.

Together, let us take a stand. Together, let us act.

In pursuit of a drug-free and youth-friendly community, the DILG enjoins all provinces, cities, and municipalities to establish a Special Drug Education Center (SDEC) pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2021-001.

SDEC is a community-based facility designed to cater to the needs of out-of-school youth (OSY) and street children through preventive and developmental services.

The Malasakit Centers (MCs) serve as a one-stop shop for four agencies, namely: PhilHealth, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development. The purpose of the Malasakit Centers is to provide medical and financial assistance to the indigent and financially incapacitated patients without their having to go out of the hospital to seek assistance from the said participating agencies
