"TINGOG SA KATAWHAN Mayors Performance and Satisfaction Survey” conducted by Balita Serbisyo at Kaunlaran (BSK) Advocates for Participatory Governance and Accountability, an INDEPENDENT and NON-COMMISSIONED province wide survey and performed per town in every province with a total of 5,000 adult respondents and were asked
“Do you approve or disapprove of the way [Name of Mayor/Vice Mayor/ Councilor/Brgy Captain] is handling his/her job?” Rate your Mayor/Vice Mayor/Councilor/Capt. performance.
The performance evaluation of Mayors hinges on an array of vital and critical metrics.
Economic Development is gauged through factors such as job creation, business expansion, and efficacy of livelihood programs.
Public Safety and Order are measured via crime rates, the effectiveness of emergency responses, and the quality of police-community relations.
Health and Social Services provision is assessed by healthcare quality, social welfare initiatives, and the management of public health crises.
Infrastructure Development focuses on road construction and maintenance, public utilities, and environmental sustainability.
Education Improvement is evaluated based on school enrollment figures, education quality, and the state of educational facilities.
Other influential factors include Good Governance attributes such as transparency, corruption deterrence, citizen engagement, and adaptability to modern challenges like climate change and digitalization.

The Top Performing Mayor's continuously demonstrated exemplary leadership, innovative governance, and a genuine passion for serving the people. From spearheading programs that address the needs of their constituents to ensuring that their city & town remains a thriving and inclusive community, their efforts have truly made a significant impact.

Do you have vintage photos or cherished items from Amlan’s past? We’re looking for treasures from at least 50 years ago (1970 or earlier). Let’s celebrate our culture, arts, and heritage together! 🎉
What We’re Looking For:
Culture: The way of life of our community, including traditions, customs, and daily activities.
Example: Traditional fiestas, local dances, or community gatherings.
The Arts: Creative expressions that reflect our town’s identity.
Example: Old paintings, sculptures, or musical instruments unique to Amlan.
Heritage: Our shared legacy, both tangible and intangible.
Tangible Heritage: Physical items like historic buildings, monuments, or artifacts.
Example: Vintage photographs of landmarks or family heirlooms.

SECOND CONVENING MEETING FOR THE 2024 POPULATION CENSUS (POPCEN) AND THE COMMUNITY-BASED MONITORING SYSTEM (CBMS)
Representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority met with the Amlan Municipal Census Coordinating Board today, May 23, 2024, for their Second Convening Meeting for the 2024 Population Census (POPCEN) and the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).
The meeting focused on the planning and coordination for the succcess of the upcoming POPCEN which will start on July 2024. Included in the meeting are the activities during the preparation of the program such as the hiring of enumerators for the different barangays, the thorough selection process they will undergo, and the trainings that they will be given before they will deployed to the different barangays.
As the countdown to the 2024 Population Census begins, the dedication of the Amlan Municipal Census Coordinating Board and the Philippine Statistics Authority to careful planning and training is clear. This teamwork is key to making sure the census is done well. With everyone working together, Amlan is ready to provide important information that will help guide future decisions and development.
