On August 20, 2026, the Training Induction Program (TIP) for the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II Training was successfully conducted at the Municipal Hall Building.

The program was attended by 25 trainees/beneficiaries, who officially embarked on their journey toward developing valuable skills and gaining opportunities for future employment.

The activity was also graced by the presence of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Cesare Ignatius G. โ€œIg-Igโ€ Moreno, whose continued support for skills development and livelihood programs inspires the people of Aloguinsan. Also in attendance was Board Member Julius Anthony โ€œOloyโ€ Corominas, through the Sugbo Kahanas program, which provides accessible training opportunities and empowers Cebuanos through skills development.

This initiative is a testament to the strong collaboration between the Local Government Unit of Aloguinsan and its partners in creating meaningful opportunities for our constituents. May this training equip our trainees with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need as they pursue better employment opportunities and build a brighter future.

On August 12โ€“13, 2026, the Municipality of Aloguinsan, through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), was honored to host the Employment Promotion and Facilitation Program cm Third Quarter Meeting of the League of Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers โ€“ Cebu Chapter, Inc. (LEPESOM) at the scenic Bojo River Pavilion.

The two-day gathering brought together PESO Managers and Job Placement Officers (JPOs) from various municipalities and cities across Cebu for meaningful discussions, sharing of best practices, program updates, and strengthening of collaboration among PESO offices and partner agencies.

We were honored by the presence of Municipal Mayor Cesare Ignatius โ€œIg-Igโ€ G. Moreno, who warmly welcomed the participants and reaffirmed the Municipalityโ€™s support for employment promotion and workforce development.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to Vice Mayor, Hon. Christian Moreno and all the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan for their continued support and assistance in advancing programs and initiatives that benefit our constituents and the community.

We also extend our appreciation to our partners from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Cebu for their valuable participation and support, as well as to Atty. Roy Buenafe, Regional Director of DOLE Region VII, for his continued partnership in advancing employment initiatives across Cebu.

Aside from the quarterly meeting, the activity also included site validation of TUPAD and Livelihood Assistance projects in Aloguinsan, ensuring that these programs are properly implemented and reach their intended beneficiaries.

On August 12โ€“13, 2026, the Municipality of Aloguinsan had the honor of hosting the Employment Promotion and Facilitation Program cm 3rd Quarter Meeting of the League of Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers โ€“ Cebu Chapter, Inc. (LEPESOM).

The activity was attended by PESO Managers and Job Placement Officers (JPOs) from different parts of Cebu, together with our valued partners from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region VII.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Congresswoman Karen and Former Congressman Pablo John Garcia for their generous support to our activity. Without hesitation, they granted our request to use their coaster as transportation for our PESO Managers and JPOs, bringing them from Cebu City to Aloguinsan on August 12 and safely transporting them back to Cebu City on August 13.

This generous assistance greatly reduced the hassle and inconvenience of commuting, allowing our participants to travel more comfortably, safely, and conveniently to and from Aloguinsan.

More than providing the vehicle, Congresswoman Karen and Former Congressman Pablo John Garcia also generously provided a dedicated driver and shouldered the fuel expenses throughout the trip. This thoughtful gesture truly went beyond what we had asked for and is a testament to their commitment to supporting employment programs and initiatives in Cebu.

Your generosity and willingness to extend a helping hand made a meaningful difference in the success of this important gathering.
