In this week, Abel T. Orroz, Municipal SAAD Focal Person, together with Mellmay Erador, MIS Support Staff, conducted monitoring and technical assistance activities for various poultry and livestock projects in the municipality.
In Brgy. Frederick, monitoring, poultry visits, and piggery visits were conducted at Jay-Ann Poultry & Piggery Farm under the ACPC Project. The poultry component recorded 132 ready-to-lay (RTL) chickens with 103 eggs harvested, resulting in a 78% egg production rate. The piggery component recorded 1 sow and 12 piglets, with 1 mortality noted during the monitoring. The project continues to demonstrate good management practices.
Also in Brgy. Frederick, monitoring and duck visits were conducted for the Duck Production Project. Out of the 215 total heads received, 211 ducks were recorded as existing, with 4 mortality noted. The project continues to be properly managed by the beneficiary.
Meanwhile, in Brgy. Imelda, monitoring and a poultry visit were conducted for the Egg Layer Production project. The project recorded 21 ready-to-lay (RTL) chickens with 14 eggs harvested, resulting in a 67% egg production rate. The project continues to maintain good management practices.
Through regular monitoring and technical assistance, the Municipal Agriculture Office remains committed to supporting the sustainability and success of agricultural livelihood projects throughout the municipality.
