𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒔, 𝑬𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑫𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒎𝒔: 𝑫𝑻𝑰 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝑺𝑾𝑫 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑳𝒐𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒔

ALCALA, CAGAYAN – April 8, 2026 — A meaningful step toward inclusive and sustainable development was achieved as the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 – Cagayan Provincial Office, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), successfully conducted an Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) for beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) at the Teresita I. Antonio Gymnasium.

The training aimed to strengthen the entrepreneurial skills of participants by providing practical knowledge they can directly apply to their livelihood projects. More than a learning session, it served as a platform to inspire confidence, encourage innovation, and promote sustainable income-generating activities within the community.

Key topics included value chain analysis, effective negotiation strategies, and the establishment of fair and sustainable profit-sharing systems. Participants also received a refresher on financial literacy and basic bookkeeping, highlighting the importance of proper financial management in ensuring the success and continuity of their enterprises.

The session was facilitated by Junior Business Counselor Cizzamae Trinidad of Negosyo Center Alcala, who guided participants through interactive discussions and practical exercises. The activity was also attended by Mrs. Gina Villaroza-Tumanguil, Project Development Officer of DSWD, and Mr. Noben Concepcion from the Local Government Unit of Alcala, reflecting strong collaboration among partner agencies.

Participants actively engaged in the sessions, sharing their experiences and insights. Their participation demonstrated a strong commitment to improving their livelihoods and applying the knowledge gained from the training.

The successful conduct of the EDT highlights the continued efforts of DTI and DSWD to empower communities through capacity-building initiatives. By equipping individuals with the right skills and mindset, the program supports the goal of building self-reliant individuals and fostering sustainable local economic growth.

23 March 2026 - Nagsagawa ang Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Cagayan Provincial Office, katuwang ang Cagayan Provincial Price Coordinating Council (PPCC), ng isang virtual Focus Group Discussion (FGD) kasama ang mga suppliers at distributors ng Basic Necessities and Prime Commodities (BNPCs) sa lalawigan upang tiyakin ang kahandaan ng mga pangunahing sektor sa gitna ng mga umiiral na hamon sa supply chain at mapanatili ang sapat, matatag, at abot-kayang suplay para sa mga mamimili.

Sa isinagawang talakayan, ibinahagi ng mga kalahok na nananatiling matatag ang suplay ng BNPCs sa lalawigan ng Cagayan, na may sapat na imbentaryong karaniwang umaabot sa labing-apat (14) na araw, alinsunod sa kanilang stocking practice. Nananatili ring kontrolado ang galaw ng presyo ng mga nasabing produktong, bagamat may naobserbahang bahagyang pagtaas sa ilang piling item. Samantala, may mga naitalang paggalaw ng presyo sa ilang produkto mula sa ibang kategorya, subalit hindi ito kabilang sa BNPCs.

Binigyang-diin ng DTI Cagayan ang kahalagahan ng tuluy-tuloy na ugnayan at aktibong pagbabahagi ng impormasyon sa pagitan ng pamahalaan at business sector upang mapanatili ang matatag na suplay at presyo ng mga pangunahing bilihin at mapangalagaan ang kapakanan ng mga mamimili.
