BUILDING TOWARD BETTER HEALTHCARE | LGU ALBUERA BENCHMARKS BARUGO MUNICIPAL INFIRMARY

Taking a step closer to accessible and responsive healthcare!

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Albuera, headed by Municipal Administrator Darryl C. Meneses, on behalf of Mayor Rolan E. Espinosa, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Barugo Municipal Infirmary to learn from its best practices in health facility operations and management.

The delegation was warmly received by Vice Mayor Atty. Jesus B. Cabanacan, representing Mayor Dr. Aron C. Balais. Engr. Judith M. Borrel, MPDC, and Ms. Amor B. Badajos, Administrative Officer, also generously shared their knowledge and experiences in the successful operation and management of the facility.

LGU Albuera extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Local Government Unit of Barugo for the warm welcome, valuable insights, and generous sharing of knowledge and best practices. This meaningful exchange highlights the importance of inter-LGU collaboration in strengthening local governance and improving public service delivery.

The benchmarking visit forms part of LGU Albuera’s groundwork toward establishing its own LGU-operated infirmary—a significant step toward strengthening local health services and bringing accessible healthcare closer to every Albuera-hanon.

Through learning, collaboration, and forward planning, LGU Albuera continues to take meaningful strides toward a healthier community!

An important step toward strengthening school safety was undertaken through the voluntary surrender of improvised knives and brass knuckles from students of DGBZMSF School.

Present during the activity were Mrs. Evangeline M. Adre, School Principal of DGBZMSF; PMAJ Emiliano M. Camama, Acting Chief of Police of Albuera MPS; and Municipal Mayor Rolan E. Espinosa.

Mayor Espinosa emphasized the importance of keeping students away from violence, reminding the youth:

THIRD-PARTY MONITORING OF LGSF PROJECT | CONSTRUCTION OF MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING

October 6, 2026 | Brgy. San Pedro, Albuera, Leyte

Representatives from the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation and the DILG Leyte Provincial Office visited the Municipality of Albuera today to conduct the Third-Party Monitoring of the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) Project – Construction of a Multi-Purpose Building in Brgy. San Pedro, Albuera, Leyte.

As part of the monitoring activity, identified municipal and barangay officials and employees were interviewed to gather relevant information and assess the implementation, outcomes, and impact of the project on the community, particularly its usefulness in addressing local needs and supporting community activities.

The activity was facilitated by MLGOO Sheryl A. Pagadora, in coordination with the concerned municipal and barangay officials.

The Third-Party Monitoring underscores the importance of transparency, accountability, and citizen-centered project implementation, ensuring that government-funded projects translate into meaningful and sustainable benefits for the communities they are intended to serve
