𝐋𝐆𝐂𝐃𝐃 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐆𝐎𝐎 𝐈𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠

𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 || The monitoring of the Supervised Field Work (SFW) of LGOO II Lyka Mae L. Taboso provided an opportunity to assess her field experience and ensure that her training activities are aligned with the expected competencies and responsibilities of a Local Government Operations Officer. LGCDD Chief Ms. Rudith A. Roca, together with Ms. Ma. Theresa P. Ortiz, visited the DILG Alangalang Office for the SFW monitoring on September 2, 2026.

The visit focused on reviewing LGOO II Taboso’s field activities, experiences, and accomplishments during her SFW. The monitoring also provided an avenue to clarify concerns, assess her progress, and provide guidance relevant to her continuing field exposure.

𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 || The Liga ng mga Barangay (LnB) convened its monthly meeting to discuss matters concerning barangay governance and strengthen coordination among Punong Barangays, with MLGOO Glenn O. Amon invited to participate in the discussions on September 4, 2026, at the ABC Hall, Municipal Compound, Alangalang, Leyte.

Amon’s participation provided an opportunity for the DILG to engage directly with barangay officials and provide guidance on matters related to local governance, policy implementation, and the responsibilities of barangay functionaries.

The meeting also served as a venue to reinforce coordination between the DILG and the Punong Barangays, supporting the proper implementation of national policies and programs at the barangay level.

𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 || MLGOO Glenn O. Amon and LGOO II Josie Mae B. Elvina coordinated with Atty. Jude Lora at the Office of the Municipal Vice Mayor in preparation for the upcoming LLA Assessment. The coordination focused on ensuring the necessary preparations and arrangements are in place for the successful conduct of the assessment.

Kayo ba ay lupong tagapamayapa mula sa mga barangay ng Negros Island Region, Region VI, VII, o VIII? Kung gayon, inaanyayahan kayo sa pangatlong batch ng 2026 Training on Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms under the Katarungang Pambarangay Law!

Hatid sa inyo ng Local Government Academy, kasama ang Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution, at DILG Region III, layunin ng pagsasanay na ito na magbigay ng kaalaman at kasanayan sa mga mekanismo ng ADR sa ilalim ng KP Law, na may pokus sa mga kasanayang kailangan para sa interest-based mediation at conciliation.

𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐦 (𝐑𝐀𝐓) 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐀𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 || The Regional Assessment Team (RAT) assessed the performance of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Alangalang, Leyte under the Regional Local Governance Champions (RLGC) Assessment, providing an opportunity to review the municipality’s governance practices and identify areas for sustained improvement. The assessment was conducted on September 1, 2026, at the Executive Room, Office of the Mayor, Alangalang, Leyte.

Led by RAT Leader Engr. Nida B. Dela Cruz, the assessment team reviewed the LGU’s performance across the prescribed governance areas, focusing on the municipality’s efforts to strengthen systems, comply with governance standards, and improve the delivery of public services.

The assessment also provided a venue for the LGU and the Regional Assessment Team to discuss governance practices, clarify requirements, and identify areas that may require further attention. The process reinforced the importance of sound local governance systems, proper documentation, accountability, and sustained coordination among local government functionaries.

Municipal Mayor Hon. Lovell Anne M. Yu-Castro reaffirmed the LGU’s commitment to continuously deliver good governance and uphold responsive and accountable public service. The assessment likewise provided the municipality with direction for sustaining gains and addressing areas for improvement.

Through the RLGC Assessment, LGU Alangalang continues to strengthen its governance practices and institutionalize measures that support effective local administration and quality public service delivery.
