The COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS IV-A, through its Promotion and Advocacy Division, conducted an Advocacy Lecture for the students of MANCOLC Classes 190th & 191st, and MBNCOLC Classes 286th, 287th, 288th, & 289th on July 21, 2026 at (ERC) 2 Bldg, TAWS, Marine Base Gregorio Lim, Ternate, Cavite. The following topics were discussed: (a) Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) by Ms. Aileen Co Edades; and (b) RA 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act by Ms. Lea E. Liabres. This activity is in line with the Commission's mandate of implementing a continuing program of research, education, and information to enhance respect for the primacy of human rights.

Edades of Promotion and Advocacy Division, conducted Human Rights Training during the Department of Tourism IV-A Barangay Tanod sa Turismo Training Program in Infanta, Quezon on July 28, 2026. The following topics were discussed: (a) Foundation of Human Rights; (b) Human Rights-Based Approach in Barangay Peacekeeping; (c) Human Rights Concepts and Principles; (d) Gender Sensitive in Barangay Tanod in handling cases involving children; (d.1) Rights of the Child; (d.2) Treatment of Children in Conflict with the Law/ Below the Age of Criminal Responsibility. This activity is in line with the Commission's mandate of implementing a continuing program of research, education, and information to enhance respect for the primacy of human rights.

The COMMISSION ON HUMAN RIGHTS IV-A, through Ms. Aileen C. Edades of Promotion and Advocacy Division, conducted a Lecture on Human Rights during the Social Action: Championing Human Rights and Ecological Justice in the Philippines by the Social Action Center Diocesan of Gumaca for the Barangay Officials and members of Alabat, Quezon on July 23, 2026 at San Lorenzo Ruiz Pastoral Center, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Alabat, Quezon. The following topics were discussed: (a) Human Rights 101; (b) Katarungang Pambarangay; and (c) DILG-CHR-JMC Circular No. 1 s. of 2014 or "Mainstreaming Human Rights through Rule of Law and Access to Justice at the Level of Provinces, Cities, Municipalities and Barangays". This activity is in line with the Commission's mandate of implementing a continuing program of research, education, and information to enhance respect for the primacy of human rights.

The following topics were discussed: (a) Gender-Based Violence & HerStory; (b) SOGIE101; (c) RA 7877: Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995; (d) RA 11313: Safe Spaces Act; (e) RA 11596: Anti-Child Marriage Law. Edades of Promotion and Advocacy Division, conducted a Human Rights Training to the Parish Volunteers and Community Workers of Diocesan Social Action Center on July 14, 2026 at Diocesan Shrine and Parish of San Vicente Ferrer - Mamatid, Cabuyao City, Laguna. The following topics were discussed: (a) RA 9262: Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004; and (b) RA No. 7610: Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act. This activity is in line with the Commission's mandate of implementing a continuing program of research, education, and information to enhance respect for the primacy of human rights.
