TINGNAN l LABOR FORCE SURVEY NG JUNE 2026
Umabot sa 50.66 milyon ang mga Pilipinong may trabaho noong Hunyo 2026, habang lumaki sa 53.25 milyon ang labor force at umakyat sa 65.1% ang labor force participation rate.
Kabilang sa mga hakbang upang mapalawak ang access sa trabaho ang ‘Trabaho Agad Job Fair’ sa pangunguna ni DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino, na naglalapit ng mga jobseeker at employer at nagbibigay ng mas mabilis na daan tungo sa agarang employment opportunities.
Patuloy ang DOLE sa pagsusulong ng mas produktibo, inklusibo, matatag, at future-ready na trabaho para sa bawat Pilipino.

Sa huling panayam ni dating NEDA chief Winnie Monsod, iginiit niya na karapat-dapat ang mga manggagawang Pilipino sa mas mataas na sahod. Aniya, ang pagtaas ng sahod ay dapat nakabatay sa pagtaas ng produktibidad ng mga manggagawa at hindi dapat ituring na banta sa inflation.
Katulad ito ng paninindigan ng DOLE sa ilalim ni Secretary Francis Tolentino na ituloy ang pagpapatupad ng ₱85 umento sa minimum wage sa NCR at ang panawagang maalis ang Temporary Restraining Order (TRO), upang maibigay sa mga manggagawa ang nararapat na kabayaran sa kanilang ambag sa ekonomiya.

In support of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino's commitment to advancing employment and regional development, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) participated in the meeting of the House Committee on the North Luzon Growth Quadrangle (NLGQ), presided over by Representative Angelo Marcos Barba on August 5, 2026.
DOLE presented its accomplishments, priority plans, programs, and projects for Fiscal Year 2026, along with its proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget for Regions I, II, and the Cordillera Administrative Region, reaffirming the Department's commitment to delivering responsive labor and employment services and promoting inclusive growth across Northern Luzon.
The DOLE delegation was led by Undersecretary Felipe Egargo Jr., Undersecretary Carmela Torres, Undersecretary Warren Miclat, and Assistant Secretary Julie Ann V. Chang-Lim. Representing DOLE Regional Office No. 1 were Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga, INFO Chief Janelyn Martin, CPFO OIC Rhodora Di**le, EPFO OIC Mary Jane Hufano, and Planning Officer Jeff Rey Pitpit.

In line with the vision of DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino to strengthen partnerships for responsive and inclusive public service, DOLE Region I Regional Director Honorina Dian-Baga welcomed PMAJ Reynante G. Bibat, CC, TSC, together with PLT Gezelle N. Sadian and PLT Gerald M. Barrientos, during a courtesy visit on August 3, 2026.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of DOLE Region I and the Philippine National Police to strengthen inter-agency collaboration in promoting workers' welfare, workplace safety, and responsive public service. Both agencies also discussed potential areas for partnership in labor education, employment and livelihood initiatives, and community engagement.
DOLE Region I remains committed to working with partner agencies in delivering quality and people-centered services for the benefit of workers and communities in Region I.

In line with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen workers' welfare through meaningful social dialogue, DOLE Secretary Francis N. Tolentino signed a partnership with the National Anti-Poverty Commission to expand opportunities for the formal labor and migrant workers sector.
The initiative strengthens access to training, scholarships, livelihood, and employment programs while reinforcing DOLE's commitment to listening to workers and advancing responsive labor policies.
