𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗭𝗢𝗡 - Alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., sa pamumuno ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Acting Secretary Atty. Giovanni Z. Lopez, at sa liderato ni Land Transportation Office (LTO) Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao na panatiliing maayos at ligtas ang mga kalsada lalo na ngayong paparating na Semana Santa.
Nagsagawa ng serye ng inspeksyon ang LTO Calabarzon na personal na pinangunahan ni LTO Calabarzon Regional Director Elmer J. Decena sa mga terminal ng bus sa Batangas at Antipolo, Rizal. Ito ay bahagi DOTr-LTO “Oplan Biyaheng Ayos!: Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2026,” upang matiyak na ligtas at sumusunod sa mga panuntunan ang mga nasabing pampublikong sasakyan.
Sa nasabing inspeksyon, personal na inusisa ni RD Decena ang kondisyon ng mga sasakyan, kabilang ang kanilang rehistro, prangkisa, plaka, at iba pang dokumento upang matiyak ang pagsunod ng mga ito sa umiiral na batas at regulasyon.
Sa isinagawang beripikasyon, nadiskubre na may dalawang bus na bumibiyahe ang gumagamit ng hindi otorisadong plaka. Dahil dito, agad na iniisyuhan ng kaukulang tiket ang mga nasabing sasakyan dahil sa paglabag sa umiiral na regulasyon hinggil sa tamang paggamit nito.
Ayon sa LTO, ang paggamit ng hindi awtorisadong plaka ay isang seryosong paglabag sapagkat maaari itong magamit sa ilegal na operasyon, makaiwas sa pananagutan sa mga paglabag sa batas-trapiko, o magamit sa mga krimen.
“Hindi natin papayagan na may bumibiyahe na pampasaherong sasakyan na may paglabag sa batas, lalo na kung may kinalaman sa plaka, rehistro, at prangkisa. Ang Oplan Biyaheng Ayos ay para tiyakin na ligtas, legal, at maayos ang bawat sasakyan para sa ating mga mananakay ngayong Semana Santa.” ani ni RD Decena
Nagbabala naman ang LTO sa mga operator at driver na tiyaking legal at rehistrado ang kanilang mga sasakyan bago bumiyahe upang maiwasan ang mabigat na parusa at posibleng impoundment ng sasakyan.
Samantala, tiniyak ng LTO Calabarzon na magpapatuloy ang kanilang mga inspeksyon at enforcement operation sa iba’t ibang bahagi ng rehiyon bilang bahagi ng layunin ng ahensya na gawing mas ligtas ang mga kalsada at tiyakin na ang lahat ng sasakyan na bumibiyahe ay sumusunod sa batas.

𝐋𝐢𝐩𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 - Naki-isa ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) Calabarzon sa pagdiriwang ng National Women’s Month sa ginanap na Flag Raising Ceremony sa tanggapan nito sa Lipa City, Batangas ngayong umaga.
Sa pangunguna ni Regional Director Elmer J. Decena, inilatag ng ahensya ang mga aktibidad para sa selebrasyon na may temang “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society,” na naglalayong palakasin ang pagsusulong ng pantay na karapatan at oportunidad para sa kababaihan sa loob at labas ng ahensya.
Naging panauhing pandangal sa programa si PLTCOL Aleli Cuyan Buaquen, Chief of Police - Lipa Component City Police Station, na nagbigay-diin sa kahalagahan ng pagpapatupad ng mga programa at polisiya na nagsusulong ng gender equality at inclusivity. Tinalakay rin sa pagtitipon ang papel ng bawat tanggapan sa pagpapatibay ng mga programang nagtataguyod ng pantay na pagtrato sa lahat, anuman ang kasarian.
Sa kanyang mensahe, binigyang-pugay ni RD Decena ang mahalagang papel ng kababaihan sa serbisyo publiko at sa paghubog ng mas maunlad na lipunan.
Ayon kay RD Decena, “Ang pagdiriwang ng National Women’s Month ay hindi lamang pagkilala sa kakayahan at kontribusyon ng kababaihan, kundi isang paalala sa lahat na patuloy nating isulong ang isang lipunang may pagkakapantay-pantay at respeto sa bawat isa. Sa LTO Calabarzon, naninindigan tayo na ang pagbibigay ng pantay na oportunidad sa kababaihan ay mahalagang hakbang tungo sa mas mahusay at inklusibong serbisyo publiko.”
Dagdag pa niya, patuloy na susuportahan ng ahensya ang mga programa at inisyatibo na magbibigay-lakas sa kababaihan at magpapatibay sa kanilang papel sa pamahalaan at sa komunidad.
Ang National Women’s Month ay taunang ipinagdiriwang tuwing Marso upang kilalanin ang mahalagang ambag ng kababaihan sa pag-unlad ng bansa at isulong ang adbokasiya para sa gender equality at isang inklusibong lipunan.

𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 – A groundbreaking ceremony was recently conducted for the proposed LTO Extension Office in Trece Martires City, Cavite, marking a step toward enhancing government service accessibility in the area.
The development supports the broader directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen government infrastructure and improve public service delivery, in coordination with the Department of Transportation under the leadership of Acting Secretary Giovanni Z. Lopez and Assistant Secretary Markus V. Lacanilao of the Land Transportation Office.
Officials from the Land Transportation Office attended the ceremony upon invitation, expressing their support for initiatives that aim to improve access to transport-related services for motorists and stakeholders in the province.
Among those present were Atty. Martin P. Ontog, LTO Executive Director, LTO Region IV-A Regional Director Elmer J. Decena, and Cavite Province Chiefs of Offices. Also in attendance were local government officials of Trece Martires, including Gemma Buendia-Lubigan, City Mayor; Romeo Montehermoso Jr., Vice Mayor; Crispin Diego Remulla, Representative of Cavite’s 7th District; and Aldrin Anacan, Board Member, along with stakeholders and partner agencies.
The planned facility is expected to strengthen regulatory operations, improve client transactions, and support the growing transportation needs of Trece Martires City and nearby communities.
LTO Calabarzon conveyed its appreciation for being invited to the event and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting efforts that promote more efficient, reliable, and accessible public service delivery.

𝗟𝗶𝗽𝗮 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘀 – In line with the directives of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to strengthen road safety, improve government efficiency, and ensure responsive public service in the transport sector, the Land Transportation Office (Philippines) Calabarzon convened its Chief Transportation Regulation Officers’ (CTRO) Meeting today at the LTO Lipa District Office, Olan's Place, Lipa City.
The activity forms part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to reinforce coordination and operational efficiency across regional offices, under the guidance of Giovanni Z. Lopez, Acting Secretary of the Department of Transportation , and Markus V. Lacanilao, Assistant Secretary of the Land Transportation Office , in support of national efforts to enhance transport regulation and public service delivery.
The meeting was spearheaded by Regional Director Elmer J. Decena, together with Assistant Regional Director Atty. Lance Bryan L. Tan, and attended by division heads and district chiefs from LTO offices across the Calabarzon region.
During the meeting, officials examined key operational concerns affecting land transportation services, including enforcement matters, regulatory updates, and coordination among district offices. The gathering also served as a platform for field offices to present challenges encountered in their respective jurisdictions and identify practical solutions to improve operations.
LTO Calabarzon said the CTRO meeting forms part of its continuing efforts to strengthen coordination among regional offices, address operational issues promptly, and ensure efficient, transparent, and reliable services for motorists and stakeholders throughout the region.

These often produce excessive noise and harmful emissions, contributing to both noise and air pollution and violating existing regulations. Senator Ejercito highlighted the concerns of motorists who legally purchase and install aftermarket mufflers, emphasizing the importance of distinguishing between compliant and non-compliant modifications. Therefore, motorists with such legal mufflers are not required to carry certifications from manufacturers or assemblers to prove their legality. The LTO recognizes that products that pass through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) processes are inherently compliant with national standards.

Conversely, the LTO will continue to strictly apprehend vehicles fitted with illegally assembled mufflers that do not adhere to DTI standards or lack essential emission control components like catalytic converters. These often produce excessive noise and harmful emissions, contributing to both noise and air pollution and violating existing regulations.
