Agusan del Sur Clinches Multiple Top Honors in Fiscal Performance from BLGF CARAGA

The Province of Agusan del Sur was proudly recognized by the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) CARAGA Region after securing top rankings in three major fiscal performance categories in Fiscal Year 2024. The awards were conferred the Local Revenue Generation Forum and Recognation Ceremony held on December 2, 2025 at Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.

Agusan del Sur emerged as one of the region's top-performing provinces, achieving:

* Top 1 in Local Source Revenue (LSR) in Nominal Terms

* Top 2 in the Ratio of Local Source Revenues to Total Current Operating Income (TCOI)

* Top 3 in Total Current Operating Expenditures (TCOE) per Capita

These distinctions underscore the province's strong revenue-generation capacity, sound fiscal management , and efficient utilization of local funds-key elements that contribute to robust local governance and improved public service delivery.

On November 4, 2025, the Provincial Treasury Office of the Province of Davao del Sur visited our office for benchmarking activity.

The visit aimed to gained insights into our best practices in managing receipts and expenditures through system that promote efficiency, transparency, and timely reporting.

Each division presented the flow of transactions using the Citizen's Charter, highlighting how processes are streamlined and service delivery is enhanced. The team was also briefed on the integration of the Financial Management Information System (FMIS), its migration to Electronix Treasury Operation Management System (eTOMS), and the subsequent implementation of the LGU Integrated Financial Tools (LIFT) System.

The activity was graced by Mr. Alvin G. Elorde, CPA, Provincial Treasurer and Mr. Melvin Symlet Y. Tiu, Municipal Treasurer of the Municipality of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. It was a productive and engaging exchange over lunch, and the visiting team left our office satisfied and inspired to adopt similar systems and practices in thier operations.

Moral Recovery and Values Formation Services Office Conducts Spiritual Life Evaluation at Provincial Treasury Office

The MRVFS Office recently conducted a spiritual life evaluation of employees at the Provincial Treasury Office as part of its ongoing efforts to promote holistic well-being and strengthen core values within government institutions.

The evaluation aims to assess the spiritual health and morale of the employees, fostering a supportive environment that encourages integrity, compassion, and ethical behavior. Through interactive sessions and confidential surveys, employees were given the opportunity to reflect on their personal values, spiritual beliefs, and overall sense of purpose in the workplace.

Key objectives of the visit included:

* Identifying areas where spiritual and moral support can be enchanced

*Promoting values formation aligned with the organizations mission

REGATA XIII Mid-Year Convention and TRIVE 2025
Transforming Health Revenue, and Innovation for Valuation Excellence in LGUs held at D.O. Plaza Sports Complex, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The Regional Association of Treasurers and Assessors, Inc. (REGATA XIII) in coordination of BLGF-DOF Caraga, auccessfully held its 2025 Mid-year Convention with the theme TRIVE 2025 - a call to strenghthen health integration, boost local revenue generation, and enhance property valuation through innovation.

Highlights included key updates from BLGF, breakout workshop, panel discussion and best practices sharing from various LGUs.

Huge thanks to all participants, speakers, the province of Agusan del Sur, BLGF Caraga, and REGATA XIII officers for making the event a success.
