𝗔𝗴𝗼𝗼 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟭 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗔𝗖𝗖 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

In promoting a community that supports and advocates for children in need of family care this Adoption and Alternative Child Care Week, the Regional Adoption and Alternative Child Care Office (RACCO)-Region I, together with the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Field Office 1 (DSWD FO1) and the Local Government Unit of Agoo staged the Bisig-Bisikleta Fun Run 2026 today, June 13, 2026, at Agoo Eco Park.

This early morning ride and run activity brought together partner agencies, representatives from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of different municipalities in the region, families, and community members in a meaningful gathering advancing the theme "Love makes a family," while promoting health, wellness, and social responsibility. It was further graced by the presence of Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, Vice Mayor Antonio Eslao, and DSWD Field Office I Regional Director Marie Angela S. Gopalan, whose participation and the messages they shared demonstrated their strong support for child welfare and family-centered initiatives.

All guests and participants were also enjoined in the signing of the Commitment Wall, symbolizing their collective pledge to support adoption and alternative child care initiatives of the National Authority for Child Care. Medals and certificates were awarded to the top finishers and all the participants in recognition of their involvement and contribution to the success of the activity.

The event was further enriched through the generosity of its sponsors—Unilab, Prohealth Sales Distribution Corp., Ms. Michelle Chan-Roncal, and Boss Nanong—who provided gifts and tokens for the participants.

The success of this activity was made possible through the efforts of RACCO I, led by Ms. Hiyasmin Joy O. Nieva-Rabelas, OIC-RACC Officer of RACCO I, MSWDO Agoo, headed by Ms. Rhoda Panes, Philippine National Police-Agoo, MDRRMO, MHO, Municipal Tourism Office, and APSOO.

The celebration concluded with a renewed commitment to support adoption and alternative child care and to champion every child's right to family care in Agoo and in the whole Region 1. 💚

𝗔𝗴𝗼𝗼 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟮𝟴𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 💚🇵🇭

In solemn remembrance of the bravery, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Filipino heroes who fought for our nation's freedom, the Municipality of Agoo joins the celebration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day today, June 12, 2026.

Today's program brought together local officials and employees of the Local Government Unit of Agoo, headed by Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, chiefs and personnel of Philippine National Police-Agoo, Bureau of Fire Protection-Agoo, Bureau pf Jail Management and Penology-Agoo District Jail, Philippine Coast Guard-Agoo Substation, Punong Barangays and SK Chairpersons, Veterans Federation of the Philippines - Agoo Post, Knights of Columbus Archbishop Mariano Madriaga Assembly 1869, and school heads, teachers, and students from the different schools in the municipality.

SBM Jean C. Boado started the program with an introduction, narrating the history and essence of today's celebration, followed by the entrance of the Philippine Flag, carried by Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of Agoo West Elementary School (AWES), discussion of the Symbolism of the Philippine Flag by Angel Jheanne Torres, a pupil of AWES, singing of the Philippine National Anthem and a doxology, led by DMMMSU-SLUC Camerata, and the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas, led by Chrysler Aero J. Resuello.

Afterward, a commemorative message was delivered by Master Sergeant (Ret) Ramon Laroco, President of Agoo Veterans, reminding everyone that independence is not only a legacy of the past but also a responsibility we carry into the future.

The program ended with the wreath laying led by Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, Vice Mayor Antonio Eslao, and the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, and a photo opportunity for all the attendees, followed by a photo opportunity for all attendees, symbolizing unity, patriotism, and a shared commitment to preserving the legacy of freedom and peace in the nation and within Agoo.

Kailian, narito ang Fare Matrix ng mga pampasaherong tricycle sa Agoo, La Union alinsunod sa Municipal Ordinance No. 14–2026.

Nakapaloob sa ordinansang ito na ang minimum na pamasahe ay Php17.00 sa unang apat na kilometro, na madadagdagan ng Php2.00 kada isang kilometro na susunod.

Samantala, mayroong 20% discount ang mga estudyante, senior citizen, at People With Disabilities (PWDs). Kinakailangan lamang na magpresenta ng ID para sa kumpirmasyon.

In today's flag-raising ceremony, June 8, 2026, the Municipal Government of Agoo formally acknowledged the newly-installed commander of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – Sub Station Agoo, LTJG Marimar G. Yaris, and newly-appointed Municipal Budget Officer, Ms. Mary Ann E. Simsiman.

LTJG Yaris was also given a moment to express her gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the importance of collaboration between PCG and the local government in ensuring the safety and welfare of the community, particularly in protecting and safeguarding the municipality's coastal areas.

The LGU, under the leadership of Mayor Frank O. Sibuma, welcomes both officials as they begin their respective duties and looks forward to their contributions in advancing the betterment of Agoo and better services to all Kailian. 💚

In view of the observation of Independence Day on June 12, 2026, declared regular holiday, please be informed that work in all offices of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Agoo will temporarily revert to the regular office hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM from June 8-11, 2026.

Departments or offices providing health, disaster response, security, and other essential services remains on their regular operating hours.

The Compressed Workweek schedule, 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM (Mon-Thu) will resume on June 15.
