🌿 Representatives from the Local Government Unit (LGU) and the Protected Area Management Office (PAMO) recently conducted a comprehensive monitoring and assessment of the mangrove 🌱 and seagrass 🌾 ecosystems in Brgy. Rabon, Rosario, as well as Brgy. Ubagan, Cupang, and Narvacan in Sto. Tomas, La Union. These areas are part of the Agoo-Damortis Protected Landscape and Seascape (ADPLS).

🌊 The goal of this initiative is to track changes in the condition, composition, and abundance of species within the coastal and marine ecosystems, while also evaluating the human activities and environmental factors that may be contributing to ecosystem degradation. By interpreting the data collected, appropriate strategies can be developed to mitigate these threats and preserve the health and diversity of these critical ecosystems.
