128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence

Personnel of Agno Police Station under the supervision of PMAJ NOERALYN R. TAMAYO, OIC, attended the 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration held at the Agno Municipal Hall. As part of the commemoration, police personnel joined local officials, government employees, and other stakeholders in honoring the sacrifices and heroism of the nation's fallen heroes through a wreath-laying and flower-offering ceremony.

The activity aimed to commemorate the country's independence, promote patriotism, and pay tribute to the brave men and women who fought for the nation's freedom. The event was conducted peacefully and orderly, fostering unity, national pride, and appreciation for the sacrifices of Filipino heroes.

🚭 IT IS ILLEGAL FOR MINORS TO BUY, USE, OR BE SOLD V**E AND TO***CO PRODUCTS

Under Republic Act No. 11900 (V**e Law) and Republic Act No. 9211 (To***co Regulation Act), the sale, distribution, and access of v**e and to***co products to persons below eighteen (18) years old are prohibited. Retailers are required to verify the age of purchasers before selling such products.

❌ PROHIBITED ACTS
Selling or giving v**e products to minors
Selling ci******es or to***co products to minors
Allowing minors to purchase v**e or to***co products
Marketing v**e products in ways that appeal to minors (e.g., cartoons, anime characters, youth influencers)

⚖️ PENALTIES
Stores and sellers who violate the law may face administrative fines, suspension of permits, and other penalties under the V**e Law and To***co Regulation Act.

Republic Act No. 8353, also known as the Anti-R**e Law of 1997, expanded the definition of r**e and reclassified it as a Crime Against Persons under the Revised Penal Code.

What Constitutes R**e?

R**e is committed when:

A person is forced into sexual in*******se through force, threat, or intimidation;
The victim is unconscious, deprived of reason, or unable to give consent;
The act is committed through fraud or grave abuse of authority; or
The victim is below the age specified by law or otherwise incapable of giving valid consent.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ranked among the country's top-rated government officials in the latest nationwide “Boses ng Bayan” Index of Governance (IOG) survey conducted by RPMD Foundation Inc.

The survey, conducted from April 1 to 8, 2026 among 5,000 respondents nationwide, showed that PGen Nartatez garnered a 78.8% Index of Governance score, supported by a 78.5% trust rating and a 79.1% performance rating.

The result reflects sustained public confidence in the PNP’s efforts to maintain peace and order, strengthen community engagement, and enhance the delivery of police services across the country. It also highlights the growing recognition of the organization’s ongoing reforms and operational initiatives aligned with the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
