05.26.2026. Championing transparency and institutional accountability, the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) of Abuyog successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter 2026 Monitoring Activity earlier today, May 26, 2026, to validate the implementation status of key infrastructure projects.
The activity commenced with a preliminary briefing at the DILG Abuyog Office before the LPMC Inspectorate Teamโcomposed of representatives from the MLGOO, MPDO-MEO, and the Private Sectorโproceeded with a structured on-site inspection in Barangay Anibongon, Leyte. The monitoring focused on two priority infrastructure projects funded under the 20% Economic Development Fund (EDF): the Construction of a Concrete Pathway and the Installation of Solar Street Lights.
The evaluation yielded highly successful findings, confirming that both priority developments have registered 100% physical accomplishment for their current phases. The Concrete Pathway Project spans 222 linear meters with a contract amount of โฑ1,000,000.00, while the Solar Street Lights Project successfully operationalized 37 units, also valued at โฑ1,000,000.00.
To conclude the activity, an exit conference was held with Sangguniang Bayan Member and LPMC Chairperson Hon. Felicito V. Topia Jr. to discuss the implementation updates and map out continuing measures for public service delivery. Stakeholders emphasized that sustained monitoring and tight inter-agency coordination remain vital to reinforcing accountability and accelerating sustainable community development across the municipality.
