🔥 Kitchen & Cooking Items
Never leave cooking unattended—especially when using oils or grease, which can ignite quickly.
Keep flammable items (paper towels, dishcloths, wooden utensils) away from the stove.
If a grease fire starts, don’t use water—smother it with a lid or use baking soda.

🔌 Electrical Housewares
Avoid overloading outlets or extension cords with appliances like microwaves, kettles, or irons.
Replace frayed cords immediately.
Unplug appliances when not in use, especially heat-generating ones (toasters, hair dryers).

🕯️ Candles & Open Flames
Keep candles at least a foot away from curtains, bedding, or books.
Always extinguish candles before leaving a room or going to sleep.
Consider flameless LED alternatives for safer ambiance.

🛏️ Fabrics & Upholstery
Be cautious with space heaters near curtains, sofas, or bedding—keep at least 3 feet (1 meter) clearance.
Choose flame-resistant materials when possible.
🔥 Heating Devices
Turn off portable heaters when unattended.
Don’t use ovens or stoves as heating sources.
Have heating systems inspected regularly.

this reminds us to always be prepared in case an earthquake happens. During the drill, everyone is encouraged to practice the proper safety procedure: Duck, Cover, and Hold and T.P.A.S.S

Participating in the Fire Drill and Earthquake Drill helps us learn how to respond calmly and safely during earthquakes. Let us take this activity seriously and work together to ensure the safety of everyone.
