CAMP HIGINIO A. MENDOZA, SR., Puerto Princesa City โ The Palawan Police Provincial Office (Palawan PPO), under the leadership of PCOL JOEL D CASUPANAN, Provincial Director, intensified its manhunt operations against wanted persons, resulting in the arrest of six (6) individuals in separate operations conducted across the municipalities of Taytay, Quezon, Bataraza, and Rizal, Palawan, on September 2, 2026.
In Brgy. Talog, Taytay, Palawan, at about 10:00 AM, personnel of the 401st B MC RMFB, as lead unit, together with the Taytay MPS and 2nd Palawan PMFC, arrested a 43-year-old married male, a resident of Brgy. Talog, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 1, 2026. The warrant was issued by Hon. Annah Lea Tiongson Mendoza, Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Roxas, Palawan, for Qualified Theft under Article 310 of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act No. 10951, with recommended bail of โฑ58,000.00.
Meanwhile, at about 11:14 AM in Brgy. Alfonso XIII, Quezon, Palawan, personnel of the Quezon MPS, as lead unit, together with the Aborlan MPS, PALPIU, PIT Palawan RIU 4B, 4th Platoon 1st PPMFC, and PNP Maritime Group 2nd SOU, Quezon SBC, arrested two wanted personsโa 35-year-old married male construction worker and a 34-year-old married female, both residents of Brgy. Maasin, Quezon, Palawan. The two were arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 17, 2026, issued by Hon. Panfilo Intud Sala Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 165, Brookeโs Point, Palawan, for Violation of Section 77 of Presidential Decree No. 705, as amended by Executive Order No. 277 and Republic Act No. 7161, with fixed bail of โฑ40,000.00 each.
At about 11:40 AM, in Brgy. Sapa, Bataraza, Palawan, personnel of the Bataraza MPS, as lead unit, together with the PALPIU, 3rd Platoon 1st PMFC, 401st B MC RMFB, SOU MG RIOTUBA SBC, and PHPT-HPG, arrested two male wanted persons, aged 37 and 30, both residents of Brgy. Sapa, Bataraza, Palawan. The arrested persons were apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated August 12, 2026, issued by Hon. Panfilo Intud Sala Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 165, Brookeโs Point, Palawan, for Violation of Section 77 of Presidential Decree No. 705, as amended, with recommended bail of โฑ30,000.00 each.
Lastly, at about 12:30 PM, in Brgy. Punta Baja, Rizal, Palawan, personnel of the Rizal MPS, as lead unit, together with the PALPIU, 1st PMFC 4th Platoon, RIU-4B, and Rizal-MLET, arrested a 51-year-old married male construction worker and resident of Brgy. Punta Baja. He was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated July 1, 2026, issued by Hon. Panfilo I. Sala Jr., Acting Presiding Judge of Branch 165, Brookeโs Point, Palawan, for three (3) counts of Violation of Section 5(A) of Republic Act No. 9262, with recommended bail of โฑ2,000.00 each, and Violation of Section 5(B) of RA 9262, with recommended bail of โฑ36,000.00, for his temporary liberty.
All arrested persons were informed of the nature and cause of their respective arrests and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language known and understood by them. They were subsequently placed under the custody of the respective police units for documentation and proper disposition, prior to their turnover to the appropriate courts of origin.
PCOL CASUPANAN commended the operating units for their continued efforts in locating and apprehending wanted persons through coordinated and intelligence-driven manhunt operations.
