At Willka T’ika, you’ll hear Quechua words throughout your stay. 🌿🏔️ Some describe Andean traditions and the landscape around us, while others have become part of everyday life at Willka T’ika.

Words like Apu and Kallpa are also the names of two of our beloved dogs, who many guests get to know during their stay. 🐕 And many names of sacred plants can be found in the names of our guest rooms.

From the historic streets of Cusco to Urubamba and the villages, mountains, and archaeological sites throughout the Sacred Valley, this region offers so much to discover.

We were filled with joy to welcome MC Yogi and his crew to Willka T’ika this August.

Here MC Yogi shares a bit about his experience leading a retreat in the Sacred Valley, from spending time in our gardens to practicing and meditating with his students. On August 1st, our Willka T’ika family gathered for an Andean Despacho to welcome the sacred month of offerings and gratitude to Pachamama. 🌿🙏🏽

Guided by our Q’ero, Don Benito, the Despacho brings people together to make offerings of flowers, coca leaves, grains, sweets, and other symbolic elements, honoring Mother Earth and expressing gratitude for all that sustains us.

This time, the ceremony was shared by our entire team, the people who care for our gardens, kitchen, guest services, retreats, and every part of Willka T’ika.

We are grateful to share this tradition together and to begin this special month as a community. 🌎✨

From our garden to your table.

At Willka T’ika, our biohuerto is where we grow many of the fresh ingredients used in our kitchen, including lettuce, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and other seasonal vegetables.

Our garden team tends to the crops throughout the year, giving us fresh produce to incorporate into the vegetarian meals we prepare for our guests.

For us, growing some of our own food is simply part of how we care for the land, our gardens, and the food we serve.

This August, we welcomed MC Yogi and his group to the Sacred Valley for a retreat filled with yoga, music, meditation, Andean traditions, local excursions, and time together at Willka T’ika.
