Embassy of India situated at Av. Salaverry 3006, San Isidro Lima 27, Perú / Tel : (51-1) 2616006 - In May 1963, the Indian Ambassador in Chile, HE. Mr. P. T.

Diplomatic relations between India and Peru were established in March 1963. Ratnam, was concurrently accredited as Peru and the Indian Embassy in Chile served as concurrent Indian Embassy in Peru. During this period were Ambassadors of India:

• Mr. Ratnam: May 1963 - November 1964
• Mr. BK Massand: May 1965 - December 1967
• Mr. KL Mehta: August 1968 - December 1970

In September 1969, India opened its resident mission in Lima, Peru. The mission was headed by Charge d'Affaires, Mr. PA Nazareth. The first resident Ambassador of India in Lima, Hon. AR Sethi, arrived in November 1973. Since then the Ambassadors of India in Peru have been:

• Mr. AR Sethi: November 1973 - December 1975
• Ms. Manorama Bhalla: July 1976 - December 1978
• Mr. SK Kathpalia: June 1979 - October 1982
• Mr. Sushil Dubey: April 1983 - August 1986
• Ms. Savitri Kunadi: October 1986 - June 1989
• Mr. Dilip Lahiri: August 1989 - October 1992
• Mr. Cherpoot: January 1993 - October 1995
• Ms. Nirupama Rao: December 1995 - May 1998
• Mr. Butshikan Singh: December 1998 - September 2002
• Mr. Riewad V. Warjri: September 2002 to February 2007
• Mr. Appunni Ramesh: February 2007 - August 2011
• Mr. Manpreet Vohra: August 2011 - April 2015
• Mr. Sandeep Chakravorty: July 2015 - August 2017
• Mr. Mandarapu Subbarayudu: February 2018 to date

Regarding the location, was the first resident Embassy in Paseo de la Republica 291, Office 1201, Lima. Then in 1974 he moved to Ignacio de Loyola 150, Miraflores. Since 1990 the Embassy is located on Avenida Salaverry 3006, San Isidro.

🇮🇳🤝🇵🇪 La Embajada de la India organizó el Seva Pakhwada (Quincena de Servicio) con una jornada especial por el Gandhi Jayanti, junto a miembros de la comunidad india en el Perú. 🕊️ Una caminata por la no violencia y partidos de vóley y fútbol para niños promovieron la unión, la solidaridad y el espíritu deportivo. El Embajador de la India, S.E. Sugandh Rajaram, invitó a todos a seguir el legado de Mahatma Gandhi y su mensaje de servicio a la humanidad, y entregó premios a los ganadores y donaciones a las escuelas participantes...
Seva Pakhvada (fortnight of service) was organised by the Embassy which was culminated in an event on Gandhi Jayanti with diaspora members wherein nonviolence walk and children’s volleyball & football games were organised. Ambassador HE Sugandh Rajaram urged all to follow message of Mahatma Gandhi for service to humanity and gave away prizes to the winners and donations to the schools.
