The Embassy of Canada, in collaboration with FUNDAMORGAN and APATEL, organized in Isla Colón, Bocas del Toro, a workshop on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) aimed at representatives of the tourism sector and local authorities.
The training covered topics such as prevention, victim assistance, emergency management, safety, and other matters of consular interest. By working together, we can promote the safety of both Canadian tourists and local communities.
During the visit to Bocas, we held meetings with the Governor of the Province, the Mayor of Isla Colon, and representatives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the National Migration Service, the National Police, the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ), and SINAPROC.
