Peace Corps Panama

Peace Corps Panama Follow to learn more about our Peace Corps Volunteers, our projects, and the beautiful culture of Panama.

The Peace Corps traces its roots and mission to 1960, when then Senator John F. Kennedy challenged students at the University of Michigan to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. From that inspiration grew an agency of the federal government devoted to world peace and friendship. Since that time, more than 225,000 Americans of all ages have respon

ded to Kennedy’s call to serve and have helped communities in 141 countries to work on issues ranging from AIDS education to information technology and environmental preservation. Today's Peace Corps is more vital than ever, working in emerging and essential areas such as information technology and business development, and contributing to the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. Peace Corps Volunteers continue to help countless individuals who want to build a better life for themselves, their children, and their communities. Comment Policy:

Counterparts are trained en their role as a community guide and work partner within their corresponding program and they form an integration and work plan with their Volunteer for the first three months of service.

Service isn’t just for our Volunteers. 🌱 This past Friday, Peace Corps Panama staff got their hands dirty at Parque Municipal Summit — cleaning, organizing, and potting plants for the park’s greenhouse. Dirty hands, full hearts, and worth every moment! 🌱💚

Welcome to Morgan’s home! 🏡🇵🇦

Our volunteer Morgan opens the doors to her home to show us just how cozy a Peace Corps Volunteer’s home can be during service. Because a home is more than just a place where you live, it’s a space you can make your own over time. 💛🌿

Join us for this little house tour and see how Morgan has turned her place into a home away from home. 🚪✨
