Importantes avances se concretaron de cara a los próximos Juegos Mundiales de Olimpiadas Especiales Santiago 2027.
Delegaciones de Special Olympics International y Olimpiadas Especiales América Latina, junto con los atletas de Olimpiadas Especiales Chile y el Comité Organizador Local, con activa participación de la ministra de Deportes del Estado de Chile, Natalia Duco, trabajaron intensamente en Santiago durante tres días consecutivos para avanzar hacia la realización de uno de los eventos deportivos más grandes del planeta y el más importante en cuanto a inclusión de discapacidad intelectual y del desarrollo, que celebrará su 17° edición.
La agenda abarcó reuniones entre todas las áreas, un recorrido por el Parque Estadio Nacional -sede central de Santiago 2027- y una visita al Palacio de La Moneda en la que el Presidente de Chile, José Antonio Kast, recibió a representantes de los Juegos que se desarrollarán en octubre del próximo año.

Significant progress has been made in preparation for the upcoming Special Olympics World Games Santiago 2027.
Delegations from Special Olympics International and Special Olympics Latin America, together with athletes from Special Olympics Chile and the Local Organizing Committee, with the active participation of Chile’s Minister of Sports, Natalia Ducó, worked intensively in Santiago for three consecutive days to advance toward the realization of one of the largest sporting events on the planet and the most important in terms of inclusion for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which will celebrate its 17th edition.
The agenda included meetings across all departments, a tour of the National Stadium Park—the main venue for Santiago 2027—and a visit to La Moneda Palace, where Chilean President José Antonio Kast received representatives of the Games, which will take place in October of next year.
