"One ocean. One climate. One future."
Read Prime Minister, the Hon. Mia Amor Mottley, S.C., M.P.'s statement on 👇🌊
"This World Oceans Day asks us to reimagine our relationship with the ocean.
For Barbados, the ocean is protection. It is livelihood. It is memory. It is the future.
We are small in land, but we are a large ocean state. That means our responsibility does not stop at the shoreline.
Through our Blue Bond, Marine Spatial Plan, Roofs to Reefs, Blue Green Bank and debt-for-climate resilience work, Barbados is choosing action over applause.
The world now has the tools, from science to satellites to AI, to protect the ocean better than ever before. What we need now is the will.
Let us protect what protects us.
One ocean. One climate. One future."
