The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Sultanate of Oman is pleased to announce the commencement of the Embassy Track of the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduate Degrees. This program provides Omani students with the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in Korea and to strengthen academic and cultural ties between Korea and Oman.

📚 2026 International Joint class

In order to strengthen students' global competencies and foster global citizenship, SMOE(Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education) is operating the 'International Joint Class', a remote class exchange program between Seoul and overseas schools.

SMOE would like to recruit overseas schools to participate in the「2026 International Joint Class」program, and request for a lot of interest and participation.

A. Eligibility: Elementary, middle, and high schools in overseas countries that wish to experience class exchanging programs with Korean students. (Schools that have adopted Korean as a second language or local schools that want to carry out cultural exchange with Korea, etc.)

12월 4일, 주오만 대한민국 대사관에서는
‘한국·오만 우호의 밤’ 행사가 열렸습니다.

1) 행사는 비원어민 한국어 학습자와 재외동포가 함께한 한국어 말하기 대회로 시작하여,

2) GKS 동문회의 프로그램 소개 시간으로 이어졌습니다.
GKS 프로그램을 졸업한 동문 장학생들은 한국에서의 유학 경험을 직접 공유하며 의미를 더했습니다.

3) OK Nuri 9주년 연말 행사에서는
참석자들이 다채로운 놀이와 퀴즈 프로그램을 함께 즐기며
교류와 소통의 시간을 이어갔습니다.

이번 우호의 밤이 한국과 오만을 잇는
문화적 이해와 우정을 더욱 깊게 하는 계기가 되기를 바랍니다.

On December 4, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Oman hosted the “Korea–Oman Friendship Night” event.

1) The event began with a Korean speech contest featuring non-native Korean learners and overseas Koreans.

2) It then continued with a session introducing the GKS Alumni Association’s programs.
GKS alumni further enriched the occasion by sharing their personal experiences of studying in Korea.

3) At the OK Nuri 9th Anniversary Year-End Event, participants enjoyed a variety of games and quiz programs, fostering interaction and communication.

We hope that this Friendship Night will serve as an opportunity to deepen cultural understanding and strengthen the bond of friendship between Korea and Oman.

2025 해금 콘서트 - A Journey of Korean Strings in Muscat

2025년 11월 6일 (목) 주오만대한민국대사관은 Bait Al Zubair 박물관에서 “한국 전통 현의 선율, 무스카트로” (A Journey of Korean Strings in Muscat) 콘서트를 개최하였습니다.

신날새(해금), 박세환(피아노), 최정욱(첼로) 연주자로 이루어진 삼중주단은 해금의 깊이 있는 음색을 느낄 수 있도록 한국 민요부터 Golden(K-pop 데몬 헌터스 OST)에 이르기까지 다양한 장르에서 대중성과 음악성을 고려하여 엄선한 12곡을 연주하였습니다.

이번 행사에 함께해신,

그리고 모든 관객 여러분께 깊이 감사드립니다.

이 공연이 앞으로도 한국과 오만을 잇는 아름다운 문화의 다리로 오래 기억되길 바랍니다.

2025 Haegum Concert - A Journey of Korean Strings in Muscat

On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Oman hosted the concert “A Journey of Korean Strings in Muscat” at the Bait Al Zubair Museum.

The trio—Shin Nalsa (Haegum), Park Se-hwan (Piano), and Choi Jung-wook (Cello)—performed twelve carefully selected pieces, ranging from Korean folk songs to Golden (K-pop Demon Hunters OST).

Their repertoire was chosen with both musical artistry and popular appeal in mind, allowing the audience to experience the profound timbre of the Haegum across diverse genres.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Mohammad Al Zubair, Hon. Mohammad Al Harty, and all members of the audience who joined us.

May this concert long be remembered as a beautiful cultural bridge connecting Korea and Oman

우리 대사관은 지난 11월 5일 (수) 국경일 리셉션을 개최했습니다.

해당 리셉션에는

살림 알 마흐로키 오만 문화유산관광부 장관,

모하메드 알 하르시 국가평의회 의원 (전 주한 오만 대사),

나흘라 알 함디 국가평의회 의원,

주마 알 와하이비 자문평의회 의원,

야시르 알 마비야하시 자문평의회 의원,

무바라크 알 자크와니 대사 외교부 정보통신국 국장,

압둘 아지즈 알 호스니 대사 외교부 아시아-태평양 국장,

등 오만 정재계 주요 인사, 주재국, 교민 400 명이 참석하여 국경일을 축하했습니다.

이번 행사에서는 크로스 오버 해금 공연, 신라 금관 실물 모형 전시, K-뷰티 홍보, 그리고 K-푸드 시식 등이 한국의 매력을 알리기 위한 계기가 되어 참석자들의 호평을 받았습니다.
