πŸš’ Opito Bay Fire Crew – Community Request πŸ’§
Hi everyone,
The Opito Bay Fire Crew are currently on the lookout for a water tank for our new fire base facility being built at the Vela farm.
We are ideally seeking something around 10,000 litres or larger, which will be used for:
Equipment testing
Pump and hose maintenance
Flushing and cleaning gear after incidents
If you have a tank that’s surplus to requirements, or know someone who might be able to help, we would really appreciate hearing from you.
Please feel free to message us directly or comment below.
Thanks again for the incredible support from our community β€” it truly makes a difference

The days are getting shorter which means it’s time to think ahead and prepare for colder weather. ❄️

Unseen debris in your chimney is a fire waiting to happen. Make sure you have your chimney cleaned before the first fire of the season! πŸ”₯

πŸš’ Opito Bay Fire Facility Update 🚧
Great progress on our new Opito Bay fire facility β€” groundworks are now complete and ready for the concrete slab to be poured!
A huge thank you to Lyn Vela and family for their incredible generosity in providing this facility. This investment will significantly strengthen the capability of our Opito Bay response team and help future-proof emergency services for our community.
πŸ‘ We’re excited to see the next stage come to life!
